The Official Ongoing Kitchener-Waterloo and surrounding areas thread

Re: The Official 2011 Kitchener-Waterloo and surrounding areas thread.

7 sounds good gives me time to get home and over there.

Re: The Official 2011 Kitchener-Waterloo and surrounding areas thread.

Yeah, me too. I was thinking 7-7:30 time frame would be good.

Re: The Official 2011 Kitchener-Waterloo and surrounding areas thread.

How do you figure? On the 929 low beam is centre, high beam is all 3. Right now that's 3 55W's.

Ah.. 3 lights... if it was 1 of each, the regular incandescent light would be useless. Two of them will probably light up the sides of the road a little better, but the center HID will wash out the middle nearly completely.

I have to do drinks with some co-workers after work but can swing by after for a pint.

Hey Guys...
Last summer a couple of us were tossing about the idea of doing a trip down to the infamous Tail of the Dragon this year.
My holidays are July 14-29 (can't change them - it's a shop shut down).

Was thinking of a 4-5 day trip. Leave first thing (i.e. 6am) on a Sunday morning, ride Monday - Wednesday, return on the Thursday or Friday.

If enough of us are interested and can commit soon, I'm thinking it would be a good idea to book a cabin instead of individual hotel rooms (will save us some money).
Gary (from Hamilton) has told me he'll go anytime, SpyRadar (Jin) is very much interested, and so is one of his friends. That potentially makes 4.

Anyone else? I can take my bike in the bed of my Ranger and tow a trailer as well (1 bike only to be on the safe side in the mountains).

I still need to figure this out with my "bike trip buddy". I mentioned it to him when you brought it up before, but we haven't seriously tried to figure anything out yet.

Well, let's seriously start figuring it out then!!!
It's far enough in advance for people to start booking holidays, discussing it with the wife (that is of course, if she wears the pants) and everything else.
Plan it out and start preparations!!!!

Re: The Official 2011 Kitchener-Waterloo and surrounding areas thread.

Not sure when. I think it's down to just Danny and I sharing an order, so whenever we hear from him we could probably move forward with an order. We're looking at these from DDT Tuning.

Sorry...have been MIA for awhile. I am ready to go whenever for order. Anyone want to take charge for doing the order? If not I can do it and front the money for the buy and people can just pay me back when they pick up. I can photo copy the invoice at home and give everyone a copy of the emails that were shot back and fourth regarding warranty issues, just in case. Let me know what people think of that and we can finalize a date for orders to be in..thinking end of the month??

I'm good to go for an order at the end of the month. If you want to head it up, that's cool with me. Thanks!

Re: The Official 2011 Kitchener-Waterloo and surrounding areas thread.

Sounds good. So how about everyone that wants a kit PM me their order by Jan 31???

Hey guys. Big thanks to Bigevildoer for helping me instal my kit! Looks amazing!!! Few times I thought we'd be in trouble but it all worked out!

Thanks buddy!!

No probs... still doesn't make sense to me that we had to reverse polarity (to fill everyone else in, we double checked all pos/neg markings on the wires, twisted and soldered a few connections (triple checked before soldering) and it didn't work) on a couple of wires in order to link the signals and the marker lights. Oh well, they're all in now and lookin' fine.
Took a little longer than I anticipated due to the "finessing" of the wires, but otherwise went smooth.

I know on the Katanas (All years i think) the polarity to the signals it reversed so when you install LED signal tickets you have to fix that I think you also need a relay to stop them flashing to fast on the Kat.

Looks like Kats not the only this they did that with.

The 929 has reversed polarity on the front signals too. Running light is correct but blinker is reversed. Must have something to do with reducing wire count.
