The Official Ongoing Kitchener-Waterloo and surrounding areas thread

Re: The Official 2011 Kitchener-Waterloo and surrounding areas thread.

Dave, thanks for leading yesterday....was a good ride! Sorry for cutting out a little early, but we were a few seconds from my house and I really had to pee again!! :D
If you guys do the longer trip out to the badlands and up to River Rd let me know...I'd be in for that!

Oh ya, and since thursday looks like it's going to rain, any interest in moving the regular ride night to tomorrow or wednesday?

Aw man... too bad! Keith stopped to pee again shortly after you split!

This week I can't make it on any weeknight, but hopefully Saturday is doable.

Re: The Official 2011 Kitchener-Waterloo and surrounding areas thread.

Really? What's special about Old Base Line Rd. ? Looks straight to me. Drag strip?

I think thats the stretch the badlands is on? red clay hills where nothing seems to grow or survive there. I might be wrong about that?

Re: The Official 2011 Kitchener-Waterloo and surrounding areas thread.

Happy Halloween everyone...next year we should all get gorilla outfits, minus the mask and go for a halloween ride! I won't be able to get out on the weekend, but maybe during the week. My weekends are pretty much shot.

Oh yeah, duh... totally forgot about that. Super cool to stop and take a walk through there. There are some good wheelie hills on that road too.

hahaha... that would be hilarious!

Re: The Official 2011 Kitchener-Waterloo and surrounding areas thread.

Maybe cold tearing? I haven't really noticed that with street tires. I was running 32 front and 34 rear yesterday and the tires were actually generating and holding a bit of heat. They didn't look any worse for wear. wah wah. Terrible, I know. haha

That's probably it (the cold tearing) - tires look like they've got some very small pitting going on, similar to metal pitting... tires did generate some warmth and maintain it too, much to my surprise. To their credit, they did stick pretty well on the ramps.

Anyone else running Michelin Pilot Power 2ct's here? I find them exceptionally squirmy when hitting any kind of tar snakes or road paint. Front is still good and haven't had any slippage issues - only been the rear. Will replace the rear one time before switching to Pirelli Diablo Rosso II's. Always have had good luck with Pirelli's.

Terrible... that sucks. The temperature forecast for Saturday is getting lower. I was hoping it would be higher so I could get away without wearing my stupid rain suit as a wind breaker. Man I need a real cold weather suit.

I hear ya about the cold weather gear. I'm hoping to maybe pick up some stuff at the show in December or January.

Any one getting together tomorrow night?

Re: The Official 2011 Kitchener-Waterloo and surrounding areas thread.

Can ride, poker tonight...

BTW Katatonic brought up the idea of a regular poker game after the season wraps up. I play in a regular Wed and Sun game which you're all welcome to join.

Every other Wednesday night in Waterloo $5 buy in with unlimited re-buys @$5 till 10PMhttp://www.gtamotorcycle.com/vbforum/member.php?14277-Katatonic.

Every Sunday in Cambridge $10 buy in with unlimited re-buys before the 2nd blind level.

Or we could start one just ourselves. I don't mind hosting if you don't mind my wife playing
