The Official Ongoing Kitchener-Waterloo and surrounding areas thread

Re: The Official 2011 Kitchener-Waterloo and surrounding areas thread.

Me and two of my brothers are thinking of doing a trip to PA next year. If you want me to I could let every body know and who ever wants to cone along is more then welcome too.

I usually can't take too many long vacations in the summer, but yeah, I'd like to be in the loop on that. Thanks.

I'd there a big difference with the commander on vs with it off?

Yes. You know how FI is sometimes choppy (especially on bigger bikes) when you roll off and back on the throttle? That feeling is gone with the PC. Super smooth.

Re: The Official 2011 Kitchener-Waterloo and surrounding areas thread.

No way im riding to Gap ...1300kms each way ..and my zzr is a sport tourer and i wont do it lol.....

Re: The Official 2011 Kitchener-Waterloo and surrounding areas thread.

Def trailer to the Gap - leave early - allow 13 to 14 hours to drive straight through - unpack, have a beer go to sleep - get up and ride the best roads the Smoky Mtn area has to offer. Hell, you don't even have to stay at the Gap all week there are a tonne of awesome roads down there. The Blue Ridge Skyway, The Cherraholla Skyway, Hwy 28 from Franklin all the way to the gap is a great ride.
You will thank yourself for trailering your SS -
my $0.02

Re: The Official 2011 Kitchener-Waterloo and surrounding areas thread.

Yeah, for sure. Even with MX bars on my 929 I don't want to buzz along for 14 hours... plus the fact that if something goes wrong at the gap you have to find a way home.

Re: The Official 2011 Kitchener-Waterloo and surrounding areas thread.

Anyone else thinking of zipping down to the Turn2 closing sale on Sunday? Probably will pop down there for 1 pm to see if they have any tires left over....

Re: The Official 2011 Kitchener-Waterloo and surrounding areas thread.

Yes but i think it is next weekend.

Hey Steve, you still planning a ride for tomorrow? Looks to be quite cool, but I could be in for a shorter afternoon boot.

I'd be up for an afternoon ride as well. As long as we're not gone all afternoon, the wife might come along as well.

Re: The Official 2011 Kitchener-Waterloo and surrounding areas thread.

I was through Forks of the Credit today in my car and it's a mess with leaves and leaf mush. I would imagine that River Rd. is the same way. Sideroad 25 off Guelph line is back into good shape though after the tar and chipping they gave it this summer.

Re: The Official 2011 Kitchener-Waterloo and surrounding areas thread.

It looks like a lot of the rain is going to be south of us.....and start around noon or shortly after.
Any interest of meeting up before noon and heading north? Maybe Hockley Valley and up to River Road?
I'll be wearing my rain gear just in case and we may get a little wet.....

Re: The Official 2011 Kitchener-Waterloo and surrounding areas thread.

It is raining here now not interested in riding in the rain and cold, one or the other but not both.
Steve

Re: The Official 2011 Kitchener-Waterloo and surrounding areas thread.

According to the satellite, the rain will be past us in the next hourish.
So, let's get this going! 2:30 meet at Bridge and University.
I'll check back in a bit to see who else is in.

My day has turned out busier than I expected... Coupled with crappy weather means I'm out for today.

Got a MX bar though, so maybe later today I'll find time to swap the controls over. Brake line is probably too short though.

Re: The Official 2011 Kitchener-Waterloo and surrounding areas thread.

HID group buy is being organised. Check it out, HID Group Buy

Will have to see if anything comes out of that.

Haven't gotten on the bike in for many days not, just sitting in the parking lot covered...poor thing. Could the season be over???? I am hoping snow holds off till after Nov. 18 so at least I can ride it to my new place and get it stored properly.

Re: The Official 2011 Kitchener-Waterloo and surrounding areas thread.

I am out of the group buy. My poor little ford ranger is going to sucka grand out of me darn thing. Clutch and throw out bearing. Thank you for the heads up on that doozerdave. Would have liked it but not this year.
