Have you had a chance to compare the vid quality of the GoPro and the Contour yet?
Video quality is very similar to the GoPro.
I like the dimensions of the Contour more - slim and long rather than Wide and short.
Sound quality goes to the GoPro *HANDS DOWN* without any question whatsoever. Anything over 40 km/h on the Contour is nothing but white noise caused by wind. Tried it in the waterproof case, no difference. Will use it in the case all the time though I think, for added protection.
The Contour will be attached to either my helmet or facing rearward with a suction cup mount, and the sound will be reduced to zero. All sound will be sourced from the GoPro.
Sure, I'm disappointed in the sound quality, but the video (1080p) makes up for it.
If someone were to ask me which one to buy if they could only afford 1, it would be the GoPro without question.
Bought the Contour on a whim more than anything else -- Future Shop had the deal on for $150, and Best Buy beats all advertised prices by 10%. So, I ended up paying something like $135 plus tax. Makes the poor sound quality hurt a little less... ;-)
