The CMA and the FIM

Another thought on this I had in the shower (dangerous, I know) - the FIM affiliation would make Canadian series easier to enter and more enticing for one-off visits from others - especially from the USA. Imagine if we could have more regular visits from folks like Corti into the CSBK - Loris Baz one-off ride at MoSport anyone? Those things have a bigger impact on crowd sizes, media buzz, and the money coming into the game than people think.

Sad. It belongs in the fallen riders forum.

I won beauty contest medals in bald slightly overweight 30-35 yr old dudes, can I brag about them here?

No Dave. We have not met, and i doubt we will in the future.
Impossible Rick,
I watched you ride around on my property in the escort of Bob Billyard, whom both myself and my wife have met on occasion. You were both riding on mint perfect clean Ossa motorcycles. Our introduction was impossible to forget.

I always make a point to introduce myself to any riders that come to ride on my property Rick.

The only place i have ridden with Bob is at his place in Puslinch and at Oshweken.
My name is Ric.

Is there any chance we could stay on topic instead of creepily and menacingly implying we know people who clearly don't like us? I mean, I'm stoked for you Trials that you have a lost-connection thing with Wingboy, but the vague-posting and posturing is more disconcerting than anything else.
And maybe you could elaborate on the relevance of Gerry Marshall's obit (RIP) to the point I made above?

The fallen riders section is there with its own rules to keep it respectable. No comments are allowed other than gws or rip. Discussion is not allowed for good reasons.
Hopefully @Trials will move his post there before it has to be deleted. Thanks.

How about this, please move this thread titled

The CMA and the FIM

to the

Dirt / Dual Sport / Supermoto

section since CMA is nothing but a bunch of dirt bike riders and then the post makes perfect sense since that is where CMA dirt riders can talk about CMA and FIM.
I would be honoured to post the same link in fallen riders with a brief personal note.
However Gerry Marshal was a very long time riding friend, still well the last time I seen him and I prefer to honour his awesome life then his unfortunate death. Paul and Helen Noiseux I believe are still both alive and can tell you far far far more then myself about CMA. Awesome people, they might even help you flame CMA and I would respect that, but if they do I imagine it will be en français

Then you can say; Good idea, Dave sorry about that, I look forward to riding the new cool Beta with you at your place in Arden as soon as when weather and Covid restrictions permit it.

and I will say,
Good I look forward to it, please do bring your wife, if that is or does become possible and If there is any possible way I could accommodate that I shall do so, my house is all one level.
David S.

The other post is Not an obituary, it is a hall of fame post written that way by his choice. Woody is in there too, he can tell you lots more about CMA then I can, if they are flames it will be in english I'm certain of that.

Obfuscation, subject changing and whataboutism seems to be Trial's forte. The CMA is supposed to represent ALL motorcyclists regardless of discipline and has failed that for decades.
The CMA resistant to change, if another organization can come along and truly represent us nationally and internationally in a responsive and democratic fashion they should be allowed the opportunity, n'est-ce pas ?

This thread is not moving. The CMA should be representing the interests of all motorcyclists, not just a small number of them in a small number of segments.

CMA has members. Real people and good members in my experience, all across the country. I have made many friends through participation in CMA events. Never had any human approach me at any time and say, Hi I represent CMA and personally as an event host and organizer I like it that way. Stop attacking the members.

... can I go snow riding for a short while now without getting more roasted.

If I can bribe *ahem* lobby FIM can I start my own roadracing league in canada?
Instead of fees, you will have to pay me in beer, or burritos

Lots of room in fallen riders for your obit. Post deleted as promised.
I don't need your help. You don't need to tell me what i can say.

Do you have a venue?
Starting the club is easy as phoning CMA and politely describe your intent to race whatever and they will see that a Club membership package is mailed to you.
Then as a sanctioned league you get to participate in National FIM sanctioned events across Canada. International event participation comes from Canadian Champions.

Yes far too much people telling me what truths and facts I can't say

For 2021? no idea. Enthusiast members, Competition members (huge difference), no idea, I don't care, they are not there to entertain me with a great web site.
Just filled out my membership application and it will be in the mail asap. So there is 1
