The Bad Riders of Ontario Thread

I have had zero accidents. Including pine cones.

Several track days does not a racer make….who sponsors you? Where’s the Calabogie training sim/Shannonville?

Never said I'm a racer. Just simply faster and better than you.

....though maybe not now because I don't ride anymore.

Edit: how many hours have you had on track and how many people have you taught?

I have zero interest in racing/track days thus it‘s irrelevant.

How many people have I taught? Depends…motorcycle related a few. Others, probably about 12,000 by now. Relevant? No.

Faster and better (at being faster). Probably, speed isn’t my top priority. Safer…demonstrably not it seems.

I think we are off topic here a bit. You might want to rewind to where this started with you claiming your video gaming made you a better rider.

So you've had zero track experience and tried refuting my point with regards to using an "absolute control, focus within" mindset, responded with massive disrespect unprovoked, got butthurt about my comment "race me online", and failed to gaslight me into invalidating my personal experience when trying to get faster by mixing the two.

....yet you have zero experience with what I'm referring to. **** off.

Tell us again how video games make you a racer😃

Never said it did. Keep trying to gaslight. You're still slower than me because you're zero.

Btw, are you a boomer?

Some things are impossible to explain. I never used to believe in this kinda **** either.

Until I slept in a Holiday Inn the night before track day.

Nope. But, you’re a millennial n’est pa?

Yeah. No shame in it.

I'm not retarded enough to start a debate on a topic I have no idea about. What you did was equivalent to me arguing with a rally driver about whether or not sims help with rally when I've never done rally before. So why did you?

If hostile aliens ever start dropping out of the sky, I've got this. All I need to do is get my hands on a pulse cannon and you'll all be safe.

This thread is awesome.

Anyone know where I can post about bad riders I've seen on the road?

the TLDR of this thread is essentially if you post on here - its very likely you're not qualified to comment on the riding of others - especially to say it was "bad"

at least that's what I was trying to explain

but...for those who enjoy self-delusion we already have this thread where people complain about the riding of others:

I'm guessing you missed the sarcasm in my post? Was meant as joke about how far off track this thread has gone.

I think a few of the other unqualified riders here got it though.

That's a bad example. X-Plane is FAA approved for flight hours. And Boeing and Airbus extensively train commercial pilots though software simulators.

You could have never flown a real plane before and be the co-pilot of a commercial aircraft filled with passengers.

Seriously? On what planet? Please explain to me what your mythical zero experience copilot is supposed to do if the captain has a heart attack and checks out. Walk up and down the aisle asking if any of the passengers have actually landed an Airbus/747? At night. In a snowstorm. This has to be the most cringeworthy post on here so far this year.

"The first officer, the second in command, sits on the right side of the cockpit. He or she has all of the same controls as the captain, and has had the same level of training. The primary reason for having two pilots on every flight is safety. Obviously, if something happens to the captain, a plane must have another pilot who can step in. Additionally, the first officer provides a second opinion on piloting decisions, keeping pilot error to a minimum."

Pilots, including at Air Canada, can get their commercial licence on a prop plane and with a few hours in a A330 simulator. They land in the co-pilot seat where they receive their type rating eventually.

Everyone has to be trained at some point. And airlines to save costs do it on full planes not empty ones. If you think otherwise I got land on Mars to sell you.

With the FAA, now allowing simulator time to be included in type rating, soon you won't need to have flown to be rated as a commercial pilot.

I call Bull****. Cite your source.

A friend who happens to be an Air Canada pilot flying A330s.

All it takes is 1,500 hours of flight time behind a prop plane to get your Airline Transport Pilot’s License. Then Air Canada trains you in a simulator to learn, and you get sent up with a type rated flight instructor acting as the pilot while you're copilot to get your type rating.

Same like in any industry, on the job training. Why you'd think it's any different is kinda laughable.
