And on a train track, no less. Fun.
It's also a crap job. Split shifts really screw up your entire day. Work roughly 6:30 to 9:30 and 13:30 to 16:30 five days a week. Not many people can easily accommodate those hours. That's why so many bus drivers are old. By definition your kids are getting home before the bus driver unless they go to the same school and ride the route. Add in the screaming semen that don't have consequences in their lives and it's the worst.They are desperately short of drivers. Pay peanuts, get monkeys.
It’s in on that too. When my parents moved from Clarkson to DonMills/Shepard, we ran mini bikes down the Don trail system. We could never make it up the DV ski hill, we sure had fun running down.Around that time a bunch of co-workers bought minibikes and raced them up and down the road to the Don Valley Ski Centre. The Don Valley Grand Prix.
Me was there! My dad taught me to drift at the IBM lot in his Cutlass 442.There were a few miscreants that had a grand prix through the private roads of IBM at Leslie and Eglinton too. The security guards would come and chase them out.
Add to that the thought that if you get a little sloppy checking your blind spots you may flatten a child.It's also a crap job. Split shifts really screw up your entire day. Cool. He'll be dealing with driving while suspended tickets soon.Another rock star. Collecting tickets like they’re baseball cards…

No, likely not. At least it comes with increasing penalties and potential jail time. Given his history, I'd say jail time would be the probable outcome.Doesn't seem like the type to care about minor inconveniences like that...
I came across a different asshat at a Markham car meet who also proudly displayed his scores of traffic tickets on the dash of his conspicuously modified scion. I bet he was driving dirty, too.Another rock star. Collecting tickets like they’re baseball cards…
Highly doubtful. Multiple examples of people being busted, losing license, no insurance, etc etc etc where jail time isn't even on the table.No, likely not. At least it comes with increasing penalties and potential jail time. Given his history, I'd say jail time would be the probable outcome.
I recently watched a video from a US police department that involved the same scenario. The different is that the woman in that case ended up running at 80+ MPH and getting PITted.Imagine getting pulled over for several years expired plates and then being so entitled and apparently devoid of having ever suffered any consequences of your actions in all of your 36 years that you decide “I’ve got other things to do” because “this is taking too long”, and then decide to drive off, leading the police on a “brief chase” directly to her house.
<shakes head>
Woman drives away after being pulled over in Whitby because officer was “taking too long”: police
Durham police say being busy and having other things to do is not a reason to drive away from an officer if you're pulled over. That's what happened in Whitbwww.durhamradionews.com

Alternatively, she knew she was driving dirty and hadn't handed him her documents yet. So she rolled the dice and came up with a lame excuse when it didn't work.Imagine getting pulled over for several years expired plates and then being so entitled and apparently devoid of having ever suffered any consequences of your actions in all of your 36 years that you decide “I’ve got other things to do” because “this is taking too long”, and then decide to drive off, leading the police on a “brief chase” directly to her house.

Has driving away from a cop in a slow vehicle ever worked? In a fast enough vehicle, you run a chance of no chase in the interest of public safety.Alternatively, she knew she was driving dirty and hadn't handed him her documents yet. Sometimes people who aren't licensed, are impaired, or the vehicle is unlicensed will try to make it home in order to avoid a tow.At least this self centred doofus just drove home.
Apparently she thought that the police would be just fine with that. If I had to guess she was the sort who screamed the loudest about how her “rights” were being trampled and “I don’t deserve this sort of treatment” yadda yadda while subsequently being detained.
Like I said, someone who’s never experience consequence to their actions in their entire life.
Guess she’s got a nice court date or three to bring her back into reality now at least.
