Sometimes people who aren't licensed, are impaired, or the vehicle is unlicensed will try to make it home in order to avoid a tow.
At the expense of a “Flee police” charge, I think I’d take the tow.

Does that work anymore? Dui gets an automatic impound. May work for all the suspended crap though.Sometimes people who aren't licensed, are impaired, or the vehicle is unlicensed will try to make it home in order to avoid a tow.
Agree. You also incurred wrath so anything that might have been a warning or plea bargain is now full-press to teach you to respect ma authoritay.At the expense of a “Flee police” charge, I think I’d take the tow.
I didn't say it was the smart thing to do. Such people rarely do the logical thing, especially those who are impairedAt the expense of a “Flee police” charge, I think I’d take the tow.
Nope. Not really. Doesn't seem to stop them though. "It's on private property. You CAN'T tow it!!"Does that work anymore? Dui gets an automatic impound. May work for all the suspended crap though.

Woman drives away after being pulled over in Whitby because officer was “taking too long”: police
Durham police say being busy and having other things to do is not a reason to drive away from an officer if you're pulled over. That's what happened in Whitbwww.durhamradionews.com
"The 36-year-old woman is charged with fail to stop for police, fail to provide required document, driver motor vehicle – no permit and windshield obstructed."
Do tell?
Maybe had a ton of junk hanging from the mirror and it was an extra “F you” charge given the situation?
Or illegal windshield tint?
I should note that I mounted my dashcam behind the rearview mirror, just below the port for the cameras and sensors, for reasons of not wanting to get that ticket. If an officer ever cited me for it then a quick shot of the windscreen, from inside, should get it tossed out. If the camera obstructs the view, then so does the mirror.
I have all windshield crap behind the mirror too. Less for the ticket and more for me wanting to see without looking through crap. Camera, 407 and US transponder back there. My windshield has a crack but it is along the bottom so the only vision it obstructs is if someone was already on the hood. I'm sure if I was a dick, a cop could write me for it but similar to you, I will make it difficult for them to argue in court that vision was obstructed.I should note that I mounted my dashcam behind the rearview mirror, just below the port for the cameras and sensors, for reasons of not wanting to get that ticket. Nominee for Karen of the year.Imagine getting pulled over for several years expired plates and then being so entitled and apparently devoid of having ever suffered any consequences of your actions in all of your 36 years that you decide “I’ve got other things to do” because “this is taking too long”, and then decide to drive off, leading the police on a “brief chase” directly to her house.
<shakes head>

Agree. A Ram mowed down two pedestrians in barrie last night. In a strange twist, he didn't run.Dodge dude must have been *flying*.
What is it with dodge pickup truck drivers? They’re the BMW and Tesla drivers of the pickup truck world it seems.
Video of crash on news. Ram was hustling to make a left and creamed the pedestrians in the crosswalk. It was light out and no weather issues. Distracted/impaired or just an ass are the reasonable explanations.Agree. A Ram mowed down two pedestrians in barrie last night. In a strange twist, he didn't run.
I suspect a combo of rushing, distracted and A-pillar blind spot. I had to be super careful in my F-150 to look around the A-pillar, as it was massive and totally blocked the left-turn view of the road at pedestrian height. Not an excuse, it's something you learn pretty quickly when you drive one, but it is a consequence of massive A-pillars needed on trucks to maintain crash protection.Video of crash on news.
