I saw a huge crash on the way to work yesterday. Luckily everyone was too busy trying to save their lives to get my license plate.
Bad driver adjacent. Passenger in an uber crashed the uber into a truck. Probably an attempt at insurance fraud. Interior camera in the uber saved the driver and the passenger is now facing charges. Whole van full of passengers. Probably all would claim injuries and milk our insurance.

A bit of a variation on a common theme. One of the common insurance scams involves the driver of a vehicle causing a crash and then either swapping seats with a passenger, or leaving the scene completely, then having the new "driver" claim the damages and for injuries. Toss in an attempted murder charge (x5?) for that asshat. When you intentionally crash into a giant object, chances of serious injury are high. F that guy.

Not just the wheel grabber but some due diligence should be done for all the passengers to see if they have been involved in past like insurance claims/fraud. My guess is this will be an interesting onion to peel. I am also sure no one will bother.
Uber wants maximum trips to juice income and share value. They don't care too much if passengers are murdering scumbags.

Bail hearing/probable cause hearing always comes first.
I was thinking police and/or insurance companies but I doubt either will do anything. It is very likely IMO that other passenger(s) were in on it and have done it before. I bet it will also reveal a list of fraudulent physio etc. places.
Well, in this case, it sounds like they knew they were all caught so they are claiming only minor injuries. No crime by the passengers in this case. I'm sure without the camera, the physio bills would be crazy. If you looked into the passengers, you're probably right, they are probably statistical outliers for crash injuries.
The whole bunch should be charged with conspiracy to commit murder. If it got out these crimes were being taken seriously it might defer copy cats. Having to pay their own legal bills would kick some butts. Deportation for foreign borns. F them.
Funny thing is that the 680 News segment on this did not mention Uber when reporting on this.
They just said "taxi".......
Wonder if Uber (as the company) had something to do with it. I'm guessing they didn't want their name smeared all over this.

Physio is a bigger scam than the Liberal party. Pain is a vital statistic and doctors must treat it. Since there is no way of the doctor measuring pain, unlike temperature, blood pressure oxygen levels etc, the pain is assessed by the patient.
The patient says they have pain and it must be treated. They go to a crooked physio lab, fiddle some paperwork and split the compensation with the doctor.
I had one of the scam artists try to get me to do cottage repairs and get paid in receipts from his clinic. I'd have to submit the bills to my insurer and get paid by them.
God help us if OHIP starts covering physio.
Adder: Honest people don't know how to work the system and in the event of a collision injury, end up with the pathetic insurance compensation. The scam artists get the big payouts.
Even many legit ones will ask if the reason you are there is a traffic accident/insurance. I assume??? the rates change?
I am guessing paperwork changes. Like hospital skiing you if injury is work related so they can document for wsib.
