The Bad Drivers of Ontario Thread

Chippie is either lazy or stupid. You can’t turn your TV on without seeing at least one commercial warning about the dangers of diving impaired by weed or opioids.

Is that today?
Nothing here.

Big surprise. Scrap hauler in a hit and run. Box up, knocked down overhead sign completely blocking 401. Pulled over, looked at carnage, lowered box and took off. Cops on the way to their office now. Hopefully this driver never gets the chance to drive again.

EDIT:
Anybody surprised driver is from Brampton. Ahole. I hope he never drives again.

"A 24-year-old Brampton man is facing several charges after a truck struck a large overhead road sign, sending it crashing onto live lanes on Highway 401 in Durham Region on Friday."

Not in Ontario obviously. Can you imagine the carnage if they tried to install this here?

They would have build 4 condos in this space in Ontario

Thing about roundabouts , they know there will be sideswipes all day long but it’s cosmetic damage not T bones at 80kms . Way less fatalities

Totally agree about them being better for 4 wheeled traffic. But the number of pedestrians killed and or injured is disturbing. People are in too much of a hurry to get in and simply don't see pedestrians.

People are in their phones. Stop making speed a problem, it is not.
Didn't mention speed. It's the rush to slip into the roundabout when they see something that looks like an opening.

Trying to cross right to left as a pedestrian is a short route to the ER. Drivers are looking left for a hole and then gun it. By the time their eyes are looking forward you are already on the hood. Now, to avoid that, pedestrians have to walk all the way around so they stay in the line of sight. Not ideal. Some roundabouts in BC installed pedestrian flyovers to allow safe crossing without screwing up traffic flow. Long way up for a wheelchair or stroller though (and an extra long route as ramp needs a lot of distance to keep slope down).

I know you meant to type "on" instead of "in" But your sentence is actually very accurate for their behavior. They truly are "in" their phones..

In Milton they just go. Don't even bother to turn their heads to look and see if someone is already in the roundabout.
