Stupidly overpriced motorcycle for sale thread

About $13,000 overpriced, I reckon. Do the stickers make a difference?

Maybe they saw the glowing reviews posted by @Priller ?

I'd love to claim that much influence, but that one has been up for a couple weeks already. It's gonna be up for a looooot longer at that price. Some guys just fall in love with their own mods and convince themselves that they've created some kind of priceless artwork.

There's another one in Quebec that's been up for a while that's not quite as optimistic, but still overpriced:

Moto Guzzi (Griso 1200 cc Spécial Édition, 16000kilomètres | Routières | Ville de Québec | Kijiji Petites Annonces

Aside from what may or may not be an upgraded shock, it's just a badly done 'custom' that's ruined the class of the bike with some naff red paint. Like so many of these 'customised' bikes, it's worse than stock, not better...

Ugh. The wrinkly off-centre sticker on the front fender alone is enough to scare buyers away. If the seller is happy with that level of workmanship, I don't want their bike (unless it is fire sale pricing).

Nearly 20 years old, only 12k km on it, original owner...is this person dreaming at that price. It looks in really good nick but waaaaay over valued.
oh yeah....screen name is "Puke".... no wonder it's 1730231150194.pngbeen on the sales lists for weeks and weeks. Can't say I've seen a 250 Burgman in the wild.

I must admit I'm as surprised as this new owner of similar vintage 80 mph indicated. 800 British pounds for it...much more sensible price. $1600 Aus dollars $1450 cdn.

Yeah - that's where I live. Dollar is about 9% lower than Canadian ....there is no sales tax on top of prices.
It's $157 for transfer fee regardless of sale price. Can all be done online.

Is a 2007 R1 really worth $10k? I don't know the bike at all but ...

I actually think there might be a modest income from flipping certain bikes here in Cairns...no volume
but people are leaving all the time and get stuck with a machine.
I got my CB300F for $2800 under that circumstance and sold it for $3200 45,000 km later - mind you with a $400 top case...still good deal from my standpoint.

Did very well on the ME-03 netting $1600 and the other ME-03 2021 at $4500 asking could likely make another $1000.

Looks like a good idea for a side hustle.

I thought it was April 1st, not Halloween.

Selling my copper I don’t have the time for it all it needs is a kickstarter and a throttle and it’s good to go. Looking for trades or send an offer. I also have a 110cc crotch pocket racing bike it does run needs a new battery tho and a start.

I am sure it will ride just fine with no lower triple clamp. :ROFLMAO:

To be fair, it won't ride much worse without a lower triple clamp. It was always going to suck and fail catastrophically very quickly (if it hasn't already) Fake exhaust just adds to the $#!tastrophy. It is convenient that "all it needs is a kickstarter and throttle". Any bets as to whether the chinesium motor is dead? Hard to spin it over and feel what's happening with a huge wheelbase and no starter.

I don't know what you are talking about..... this is obviously a 2012 Harley Davidson..... says so right here......

Seems nuts to me. Regardless how much this guy must have spent on this 23 year old zrx...

That one popped up for me a while ago. I will say, I think it's a gorgeous build, but there's zero chance I'm dropping that kind of cash on it. Classic case of someone piling mountains of cash into a personal build, then thinking they can get most of it back. I think considering the limited market, he'd be lucky to get $12k for it, probably less than $10k. As someone who was looking for a green Z-Rex (and kind of surprised how expensive clean ones are - definitely into cult bike status), it's not a bike that really needs to be heavily modernised with carbon and Ohlins, and I think I'd actually prefer a stock one. Maybe with a Kerker pipe, though. Or Muzzy.

Entirely agree. Stock remains classic. Customized costs the owner a fortune and sadly for them makes it worth less than stock in almost every case.

Perhaps not overpriced, until you read the description...

What in the Brampton is this b.s.

"2016 mt09 bike doesn’t run at the moment needs new clutch installed I have the new clutch here as is sale No ownership Clean vin Make a offer"

The pressure washer actively blasting parts that should be treated with care is a nice touch. I'm surprised they gave up the vin so easily when they are selling it with no ownership. Based on the large number of sold bikes, he's a curbsider.

Even if its a clean ownership, trying to hunt down a previous owner is a load of b.s.

Who am I kidding. Someone will buy it, and ride it dirty...
