the sportsters are crazy overpriced right now. 2 years ago i paid 5800 for my 2007 with either 5000 or 8000km (i cant remember the km on her) i sold it last year for around 7 grand within a couple days and i gave him all the stock parts, probably had over 2 grand in good aftermarket parts. offered it to him as stock for what i paid.
now, ide be lucky to buy my old bike back for what i sold it for...which i thought was a fair price at the time...guess i sold it cheap.

the best place to buy cheap harleys is down here in Florida...I have never seen them so cheap. Well worth it if you are looking for one to import it. You can get 03-10's for like 4 grand....sometimes even less.
 
How much does it cost to dress up like a pirate? That's something that is left out of the listings as part of cost of ownership for a Harley.

The air in your face might be free but the arrs aren't.
 
I hope so too. Don't really want to sell, but I am getting a single bike to replace the 3 I had as t makes more sense. And the 400, even if I kept it, would not be ridden often enough to justify the added expenses of keeping it.
I believe they need to be ridden and shared with the world. Last summer I got a lot of compliments on the bike. When I was group riding, it could be parked with all the latest greatest SS bikes, but mine would get the most attention every time. She is a looker for sure.

Buddy of mine bought a similarly clean '92 FZR600 for $1800 last fall.

Just saying.

And the 600's are more plentiful, steel frame instead of aluminum, and were not the only 400SS bike of consequence ever offered for sale in NA.

Cant compare an orange to a tangerine...Just sayin.

Quality may have improved but who would know when there's none around? Hyosung seriously dropped the ball. Their marketing and dealer network is utter crap. I remember reading some articles in 2009 of how they will expand and conquer the Canadian market ...

They have extremely poor resale value so almost any price is an "overprice."

$4,500 is tough. Very nice bike, I concur, however the market for those has all but dried out. Only a few collectors here and there. And they usually aim for something like VFR400 instead.
I like your FZR, I wouldn't spend more than 3-3.5 on it though.

As for the 600 that someone talked about, those are not in demand at all so they go for way less than 400s.

Goodridge braided front brake line (Y line)
Gold Pazzo shorty levers
Tinted MRA double bubble windscreen
