Stupidly overpriced motorcycle for sale thread

no do you not see the o.b.o?

Lol... Stop it, when did the definition of "firm" become "obo".

Anyways, my point is that you will not find a decent looking/running ~10 year old SS in the GTA for 2 G's.
Since they don't look massively different than today's bikes, most people will pay $3-4 G's to ride something modern looking.

For $3300, I think that CBR is a good deal if it's in good shape. They have a nice look to them and the power is more than enough to get you in trouble.

All jokes aside its like I said, maybe to you thats the case but for me I dont think its worth $3300. I can buy a nice 929 right now for $2500 if I wamt, and I think thats fair, just debating If thats what I wanna ride for the season as I wanted a supermoto, but by the looks of what ppl are selling there bikes for, might be the best deal for me just to ride.

Its worth as much as someone willing to pay for it.

Someone would buy Britney's used underwear for 5 figures.... but dont ask me what its worth...

I think $4k is a bit too high for 600cc's, but I can see that for the litre bikes.

2004+ bikes from the major Jap manufacturers were generally well designed with the exception of a few gremlins in certain bikes (street riding); plus they are Fuel Injected, which is a huge plus for a new-buyer.

For the sake of comparison.

Ajaxguy - 03 R1 - kms unknown - $3k
Me - 03 gsxr600 - 60k - $3.5k
Friend - 04 gsxr750 - 35k - $3.5k - Needed new chain and tires within 5-8k kms.

If he did sell it, he didn't sell it for $3G's.

I think 600's are easier and faster to sell than litre bikes and therefore the resale value should be slightly higher.
Just my opinion, of course. I could be way off base here.

ok fine fine you got me....i sold my R1 for $4100....had new tires on it though. In the same breath however, I just bought a 2000 rc51 for $2600

pics of rc51 please. I had put out a few offers myself - didn't happen. :(

few offers on different rc's? You want pics of mine? I already sold it for $3500. I didnt like it all... the riding position would be horrible for the 80% of commuting I do with the bike.

This goes beyond overpriced and into fraudulent: $5 says he knows full well what "irreparable" actually means (probably learning it the hard way) and is hoping to unload it on some other sucker

He definately learned the hard way... probably got a good deal thinking he could street it, but then found out no can do. Although, still would make a great track bike even at that price.

I didn't know ducati made tires. The things you learn.
