Stupidly overpriced motorcycle for sale thread

3000 kms - and judging from the paperwork and documentation, a one-owner bike.

.. I wouldn't be surprised if it sold closed to... more than likely going to spend the rest of it's life in a collector's garage.

Very cool.

cool I guess but for 9 grand at least an sp2

My local dealer (mission cycle) has a 2000 rc51, couple farkles, 30k asking $6500. It's been in the showroom for a year, I think. But to be fair, they are a ktm/husaberg dealer, don't get a lot of street customers.

as rare as they are they are not hot sellers... just sold mine with 38k, dual two bros and new tires for $3500... still took almost 2 weeks to sell.

^ rly. I would have grabbed that. Always had a thing for RC51s.

Yeah, I saw your bike. Very nice, priced well. Always wanted an rc51, but I'm kinda over the whole ss thing. I do love the looks/power, we just don't get on well in everyday riding. Lol

I didnt own it long, got a good deal on it I couldnt pass up, but rode it a couple times and probably not enough to make the a full judgement, but I really found it cramped, and hated the handling.... gonna go back to what I originally was looking for and try and find a good DRZ400sm, I too am growing old of the ss's , I only commute so makes no sense.... especially the RC lol

I wish there was a wiki page or website that collated information like this.

I almost bought a BMW F800S, and the internet is not nice from owners of this bike.

There is: http://f800riders.org/forum/forumdisplay.php/56-F800S-amp-F800ST-Discussion

Actually a great reliable bike. BMW has agreed to recall them to cover the rear bearing problem caused by factory overtightening of the drive belt, so no money out of pocket if it hasn't already been done. All reports of problems were with 2007 models, and these were fixed for 2008.

The biggest problem with the bike is that almost every one being sold is yellow. :pukeright:

ide have a hard time paying 5 grand for that....

Saw that pos at the January show. Designer must've been blind to think green looked good.

Cue "La La Land" by Green Velvet.

I'm going down, to, La la land
I hope to see you soon in, La la land

Something 'bout those little pills
Unreal, the thrills, they yield, until
They kill, a million braincells
