Stupidly overpriced motorcycle for sale thread

How about $4k though? I reckon 5 is silly, but what else could I buy for $4k?

A 10 year old sport-touring bike with limited aftermarket parts. $3.5k I think with it's current kms.
Also have to wonder if it can be classified as sport touring or super sports in the eyes of insurance.

Another person had the honda 919 which had a dent in the tank for sale (40k kms IIRC) for less than $2k last year...
it was still up for a couple of weeks before it sold.

Don't care for aftermarket bits. I checked and insurance would stay the same as my '85 FJ600.

I doubt he'll entertain $3.5k but what the hell, can't hurt to try.

Well, that was quick. Seller replied, says he's turned down offers for $4.5k.

Whatevs.

If you like you fj600, you should check out the fz6 or fz1. Cheaper on insurance than a ss, more upright. Still has some wind protection.

I do enjoy the FJ. It just looks stupid.

FZ6R looks interesting, a coworker has a white one. Very pretty bike.

There's another 01 500 ninja on kijiji for $5000. Nearly choked up a lung when I saw it.

lol - thats mine. Im open to negotation but we all know people low ball even if you have a low price on kijiji.

They definitely do, but I think you'd be better off to ask a reasonable price and tell the lowballers to **** off. Right now your probably just losing interest from serious buyers. I just bought a bike and I didn't even bother contacting anyone asking that much over fair value. The assumption is they won't be reasonable and its just a waste of time.

I admit its listed high, but its not the most expensive EX on kijiji. I think its definitely in the ball park with other 500 listings. Most being sold as is where mine is being sold certified.

Well I haven't looked that closely, but someone thought it deserved to be in this thread :) Also remember everything that's on Kijiji is stuff that hasn't sold.

Totally agree with this.

Wash your bike...it looks like you have a new bike now but still I would not even go and see a bike that was all dirty. If the owner didn't care about washing the bike to sell it then did they care to lubricate the chain, change the oil, check the valves? That may not be your case but still that's how I feel when I see a dirty bike for sale..
