Stupidly overpriced motorcycle for sale thread

I get that but asking 12k for a 2012 when you can have a new 2013 for 10 is absurd. That was the point of my post.

He's ruined the bike.

Bobbing appeals to 1%, for everyone else, it looks stupid.

He went through the trouble of using a monoshock design to install two shocks. This says he didn't want to fork out money for a monoshock, just re-use the dual shocks from the original design. This means he saves no weight, no more travel, no difference. If someone uses that level of poor judgement, I would not come near this bike with a 3m pole, or two 2m poles.

I know, but the seller thinks what he paid is what it is worth. That doesn't work with new bikes. He wants his purchase price plus HST back. He'll never sell it, or he's playing a game and intends to sell it for $8K.

Another crazed fool who thinks you get back all the extra you spend with bikes and gear.

"...I’m selling because I am in a new position at work, and don’t have time to enjoy the ride anymore..."

Why do people think this bullsh*t is necessary to sell a bike? 1/3 ads use this line. This is only valid if your new position is in a 6X8 cell in Kingston.

There are people out there probably thinks they could get some sucker to fork out the amount they spend or more. Some people don't have a concept of depreciation if they somehow keep their bikes nice and clean. However, I think the majority of these high price sellers may not be too serious to sell their bike. They post at such a ridiculous price which they probably know is not likely to sell but then again, they probably don't want to sell anyway. By some fluky chance they come across a sucker willing to pay that, they will sell and just make some money off it. Also, some guys do make a bit of money flipping bikes.

I seriously doubt that is easy to do.

Besides, most new bikes are financed. These guys are looking to pay off what they owe, which means purchase price plus 3-5 years of interest.

I wouldn't finance a bike, that's just insane.

If they had the same loan % as a car maybe.

Do banks offer lines of credit for bikes? I guess it doesn't matter really, just get a line of credit and do with it whatever you want. Much lower than the 9% or whatever dealerships offer

I don't know how to get a 250 Ninja anymore. I am in a market but this is nutssss... It's been discussed thousands of times, i know, but....
