I don't know if they're that desirable, they are not rare. Most of them seem to sit on kijiji for months before getting sold. Bikes from that era sell very low (and slow) nowadays. I bought a CBR900RR for $1,600 for example. 2 years ago and locally.

They also still get blacklisted so most people don't even bother looking at older, high displacement motorcycles.
I mean you can get a ZZR600 from 2006 for less money and have same kind of power and no penalty with insurance.

The only thing that saves ZX7s from obscurity is their unique styling.

I think the OP mean't they're still classed as a SS and some insurance companies won't touch them.

up for sale is a good pristined SRAD 600, I have completely gone through this bike in the last 4 years, it has the very last STOCK flat black paint job race body work left in country..

motor has been completely worked with HO/ Lippenstein valve stems conversion, high pressure mosfet fuel supply, axe grinded crank, drilled and grooved pistons, also timing is retarded 10%, I was tooled the carbs have gold valvings, brakes and sprockets have been tightened and balanced, everything tuned to spec by profession..

bike has 110 horsepowers which is pretty good for 600 if you know 600 like I am it can beat the busas anywhere

this is a very hot bike and steal for $4500, it has a RACE frame so no title, still able to run on street if you borrow plates, very straight only been in crash 2 times, no test rides, if you bring helmet and gear for crashing I can give you a test ride for free to show you it can do willys in 4th gears on freeway

It's usually if they show a picture of rear seat solo cowl and no passenger pegs, then they specify stock rear seat and pegs come with it as well (in case you plan on taking a passenger, etc.).

If they're so desirable then why do most still sit around on kijiji unsold? :p

Regardless - it's still a 7/8 year old sport bike with 7/8 year old technology. Prices will come down as the weather starts to cool. Same with any other bike.
