Stupidly overpriced motorcycle for sale thread

This one is not overpriced (quite reasonable, actually), but the text is hilarious:

"I have a 1981 Honda cb400t hawk that needs to be sold asap for 1000 hopefully by tonight or tomorrow needs some work like tires and exhaust and I need to charge the battery also has sattle bags but the are not on right now cause I don't like saddle bags "

was probably typing it as his bladder was about to explode.

I don't know about the price, but that bike is absolutely gorgeous.

That's one of those things, the moment you sell, you spend the second half of your life trying to find again.

It says cafe (the actual word) on it way too many times for me. Turned me completely off it. At first glance I thought it was decently done.

This is common with custom build. there is a time to stop and you get a cool bike, and then there is too far, which nets an Easter egg on wheels.

I can never understand why people feel they need to explain why they are selling. It really can't matter to the person who has to pay for it.

Not overpriced I just found it odd that in the one ad: http://ontario.kijiji.ca/c-cars-veh...BRAND-NEW-W0QQAdIdZ502912444QQfeaturedAdZtrue They need to buy a house...yet in the previous ad: http://ontario.kijiji.ca/c-cars-veh...RAN-NEW-BIKE-FOR-SALE-ASAP-W0QQAdIdZ503831531 they're selling because the husband got injured.

While you can't tell if it's overpriced, though it probably will be, how can a potential buyer decide if they're serious if they don't know what it looks like?

When people don't provide pictures I always assume they're either:
(A) incredibly lazy, to the point you wouldn't want to try and deal with them anyway
(B) Selling something stolen, or that doesn't actually exist

The fact that he offers shipping in the ad also seems suspicious. For what I imagine he's asking for that bike, I think I'd want to get make sure it exists and leave with it.

Yeah, good point about the stolen/scam possibility. A while back, I was emailing a Craigslist seller about a scooter and he was really evasive about seeing it unless I was really serious. Got the sense he wanted me to show up with money or send some; felt like a scam or possible robbery set up. Pretty much the same ad is still up on Craigslist.

This one's awesome.

CANADAS MOST BLINGED OUT NINJA 250

http://ontario.kijiji.ca/c-cars-veh...NINJA-250-W0QQAdIdZ506384360QQfeaturedAdZtrue

Date Listed 23-Jul-13
Price $5,900.00

You must see it in person.Period.
Too many upgrades to list.

I saw that bike at L&L once. The owner should really part out the anodized goodies because no one is going to pay $6k for a used ninja 250.

The mix of colours is tacky to say the least... Candy green + Lime green + Orange + Gold = :puke:

Might have better luck showing up to Blocko with it, and just putting a For Sale sign on it.
