$5500.."pictures speak for themselves".

Yeah, you bought a $800 bike, ruined it, now want $5500.

This Cafe craze is ridiculous. Bikes are appearing for ridiculous prices, often cannot be safety certified. They typically sell for a fraction of the start price, and it seems that selling something half-finished is now cool.
"I lost interest in the project" = over my head and had no idea how hard or expensive it is to mod these bikes.

Really nice bike. If I had money to blow I would get it right away. In my books it's worth the price if it's mint.

Oh it's my bday today, so if anyone feels generous...

+1 if it's in perfect condition, I think it's worth a reasonable amount. You cannot really compare it to the MSRP.

In someone, somewhere's mind, it's the "one that got away" and they might gladly have the same mint bike back for $6.5k. 60k on the other hand, not so much.

+1 looks like the owner just lost interest in the project and decided to sell it.

That I understand. But where does he get the added value? I've seen about 40 ads like this since the spring. They don't sell and the ads just come down $500 month.
