"...The lean (sic) is by Queen Elizabeth and I thought..."

Made me ponder...

She wants her bike back.

Don't mess with Her Majesty. She survived the fascists, then the paparazzi, then the internet. Unless you want a diamond-encrusted beatdown from the richest lady in history, I'd find the necessary coinage sharpish. #godsavethequeen

lien !!!!!!!

sheesh

Though, it might be a lien that was cleared, but not updated, since the seller bought it 2 years ago without anyone chasing after the bike. I still wouldn't buy it though, and definitely not at the asking price.

It's interesting that the lien is registered by the crown. I wonder how badly you have to screw up to accomplish that - failure to pay child support or something I wonder?

Either way, I'm going to guess that even the government knows a lost cause when they see one, spending a lot of time and effort to collect a complete turd is probably not high on the priority list.

One must wonder if he even changed the registration to his own name or if it's still in the previous owners name - that could explain why nobody's ever come knocking. Or hell, as mentioned, perhaps the crown has just wrote it off as a waste of time now.

Regardless, I wouldn't touch it.

-Boy I forgot how weird looking 1125Rs are. $6500 doesn't seem crazy to me, isn't that high ballpark for litre bikes 7-9 years old?
-$3200 for that 250... They'll probably get it. Or they would if they weren't selling it in London
-$8500 for the "Buell Harley-Davidson" is... well it sure sounds expensive. Don't see a whole lot of S3Ts though, they might as well be selling moon rocks

2005 Ninja 250 Basket case. In pieces, doesn't run, needs paint and best of all it has a lean from the Tax man. Only $1100

From the ad:
I bought it from someone off of kijijj to find the wonderful surprise of a lean on it. The lean is by Queen Elizabeth and I thought it was just respectful that the buyer should know, but I never heard anything from anyone about it after switching ownership. I dont consider it a problem. I think that someone is just having a hard time paying for the rest of the bike somewhere. :(

I didn't thing a crappy Ninja 250 was the Queen's kind of bike... I picture her more on an old Vincent or BSA.

Actually, how did he know the lien is from the crown? Does it get revealed when you transfer the ownership?

And as previously stated, maybe for once the gov't isn't spending more $$$ than the lien is worth chasing after that piece of metal.

Their XB series of motorcycles sells much better. 1125r is an obscure bike. Nobody knows what it is and not too many want it. Sellers seems to think that they can get XB prices or higher for it (since it's newer tech) but that's not the case. I have both bought and sold my 2009 model for $3,500.
There's a few of them still on kijiji from a year ago. Or even that TO Cycle dude, Scott his name is I think?
Trying to sell his for 2 years now. That was the first 1125r I have seen but they wanted $6,000.

As for the 2009 Ninja 250 - $2,000. Their value dropped a lot when 300 came out and they are dime in a dozen. Last Ninja 250 my buddy and I bought was a 2008 for $1,600.
