FYI, the value of something isn't what YOU would pay for it, but what the market will pay for it. I also woudln't pay 6400 for a 11 year old R6 but many people out there will so why not try to get the most you can.

99% of the KTM dirtbikes on Kijiji (even worse for the 2T ones).
 
Damn, my first repeat, losing touch. Now that I think of it, I believe I already made a comment on it.
But yeah, any 8 year old bike posted for ABOVE the current MSRP deserves double shaming.

I should've posted more of those $6-7,000 Buells instead. Still there, a year later, after I bought and sold mine, also for half that price.

Last one posted in here (Ulysses) is long gone, despite the "it'll never sell" claims. Quick search shows a grand total of 5 xb's available in all of Ontario... 6-7 for a real good Buell and up to 5 for average is fair to me.

That said, there's this guy. Maybe if he finds a collector missing a long.

Neal, I see the same XBs for the longest time. I know you sold yours for a good price but trust me, they sit a lot, I look every single day. And just because they disappear off Kijiji, doesn't mean they sell anywhere close to asking.
Ulysses version does seem to sell best nowadays. I was considering one before I ended up with a Fazer.

XB12 from 2004 for example for $6,500 - no thanks. No one sane will pay that much.

Realistic value for an XB12 from 2008-9 is about $4,000 - $5,000.

The one you posted is nuts.

Or that 1125r TO Cycle has been selling for 2 years now. I think last year they wanted $6,000 for a 2008 model. This year it's $5,500. 4 more years to go and it'll be in the target range.

Everyone knows kijiji pricing has built in "I want a deal" margin... that Ulysses likely went in the 6k range. What was it up for? $6500-7? a month or 2? Every car on the lot in front the shop I work at goes for under advertised price.. Just how you have to do business these days.

08+ xb mint.. I'd go to 6500, and I'd get the best example for not being beholden to need for bargain... an 04 in great shape? I'd go with your 08-09 pricing, but I hate the thinner swing arm, so maybe not.. lol
 
Maybe see if he'll give it away for a bbq? :lmao:
