Looks like the rotor is still there, just a lil bent.
Probably will end up on kijiji as "lightly used"
So OP "heard" something but didnt see anything and didnt talk to the rider to ask what's going on but according to the other drivers that where all equipped with video and rad...scratch that, other drivers that are actual scene reconstruction expert...scratch that again, people that "saw" something paint him the obvious picture that this person is obviously stupid.
What if his kid got his by a bus and he just made a bad judgement call...
some COPS are sure quick to pull the trigger.
cant we all just get along? :lmao:
fixed
I saw from a few seconds prior to the collision, up to just short of the collision. That's not "nothing". It was enough to see that the rider was (a) approaching the intersection too quickly for the conditions, and (b) in a completely inappropriate place on the road. I also saw the position of the rider after the collision and the position of the bike after the collision, and I saw that there were no skid marks. That's what I saw.
That I did not see the actual collision itself, and that I didn't see what happened in the preceding minute or two ... is why I opted to leave it to others to make their statements to the police. There were most certainly others who had a better view of the incident than I did.
But to say that I saw nothing ... is not accurate. What's described above (and previously) is what I saw. What I saw is PLENTY to draw the conclusion that the rider was being an idiot.
There were multiple witnesses on scene to this rider's behaviour leading up to the collision.
If the situation were as you suggest, then the SIU wouldn't be investigating it ...
What has been stated, is what it is. No assumptions, no exaggerations, no wild stories about why. If things are not known, it's stated that they're not known. I call 'em the way I see 'em. Always.
Here's the deal Brian. I just think it's funny that your here giving us moral story's on how to behave and your the nosy rubbernecker down there asking people what happen. I can already picture you walking around with your Caruso sunglasses and sandwich asking everyone what they saw... Did you need to? Really?
Company car. Sweeet.
You are full of it. I ran over to see if the rider needed assistance. (Frequently, not enough people do that. Turned out to not be a problem in this case.) I didn't need to talk to anyone in order to overhear plenty of people talking about what they saw. The cop pulled up a minute or two later. After establishing that enough people had already called 911, that the rider wasn't in need of attention that wasn't already being given by someone else, and that other people had a better view of the situation than I had and could give better statements to the police than I could, I was out of there.
A witness is different from a rubbernecker. Rubberneckers didn't witness anything, they just clog up traffic afterwards. I witnessed something - but not as much as others did, so I was out of there. The real world is not one of 1 and 0 conditions, not one of black or white with nothing in between, and it is certainly not one where a condition is only allowed to be 1 or 0, black or white, with nothing in between. I can't help that grey makes your head explode.
What is this OTR Gang? I saw some peeps wearing the same OTR patch leather vests and posing around for a "music video" in mississauga - all on crotch rockets
Never heard of them
I believe it's these guys...

I never said or insinuated anything about them. Just curious as to who they were.
