Standup wheelie down the 403.

Simple physics would dictate that the bike will continue in the direction its going...and if it goes to the left or right if you're following at a reasonable distance you will have no problem avoiding it.

Its not a "safety" argument as you put it, once again i was simply saying that its not the end of the world scenario like wingboy was suggesting...

if the dude bails from the wheelie, and when the front end drops down, i would bet against the bike going straight. Heck even if i gave 50/50, it's still bad news. I'm totally taking this from an oncoming standpoint.

I don't see anyone behind the bike being in any danger. Then again, in toronto, you just never know when slow downs happen. - this is hypothetical for sure, but still possible.

So the possibility remains that a 500lbs bullet can hit anything infront of it.

I'm of the time and place type. Big deal, he can do a wheelie. While it's neat he can, to think that its justifiable at any point is careless.

Anyone who owns a motorcycle and is uptight about wheelies etc, is a douschebag who should sell their bike and buy an apron and go make a sandwitch in the kitchen where its SAFE!
Sig worthy.

Simple physics tells us that the camber of the road, if there's a corner, road surface imperfection, whether the bike is laid down or still upright and perhaps wobbling all will dictate whether the bike will cause a hazard or not. Too many variables for me thanks!

I think you fail to understand that once the bike hits the ground it will start slowing down, and not continue at light speed lol

You;d have a point if he was doing a wheelie at 200 and everyone around him was doing 40

:lmao:

But they can cut themselves while making a sammich, probably safer to just order something ;)

cant quite believe you are still arguing this one......ok, you win, it's perfectly safe to bail from a bike on 400 series highways at about 120kmh...no danger to you or anyone else. Lol.

You fail to see my original point so you instead go to the extreme...let me try again, this time in bold and maybe you can finally understand. I never said it was safe, but not as dangerous as wingboy made it sound to be.

Or if he has a throttle lock... falls off, opens it right up...

Not saying he does, but, there are too many "What if's" in your speculation of what would happen, thought I'd throw my own in ;)

And how many Toyota's had that stuck accelerator problem?
How many people were injured or died from those incidents?

but come one, he is making us look bad and giving us bikers a bad name
people won't think I am cool nemore
*takes off full face helmet*

God I hate the people on city news.

empty parking lot, empty road up north...anywhere other than a busy street populated with families
Oh and not at most trackdays either. For some reason it's not acceptable behaivor there either.

But it's safe and doesn't put anyone else at risk. Even more so on a track because there's no opposing traffic to hit.

No no, i totally understand what i'm talking about. yes, bike will slow, but doing a wheelie on the 403? I'm pretty certain it'll keep going, and has a chance to get onto oncoming

And just so there's no more confusion...i've already agreed with the fact that anyone going alongside or behind would not be in any danger...the ones infront, as long as they were moving, again, unlikely.

I'm specifically talking about the oncoming or stopped traffic in front. If you've never seen stopped highways in toronto, then you obviously wheelie at the right times! :)

I was waiting at a red light on creditview just south on Mississauga road. A bike was stopped as well going in the other direction. A police officer pulled up beside me saw the bike and put on his cherries an proceeded to make a you turn to pull over the rider. As soon as the guy on the bike saw the cherries he bolts and runs the red light and the chase ensues south in creditview. This is at 3pm no less.

A special kind of stupid.

Nice wheelie....but he shouldn't be doing it on busy public roads.

He also did the same thing going Eastbound on Burnhamthorpe near Square One.

....and he's running a stolen license plate.
(Don't ask me how I know)

Bottom line is this guy is an accident waiting to happen, whether it be from his stunts or if he runs from the cops, I just hope that the only person he hurts (if anyone) is himself.
