So.... Who's Riding This Week????

Out yesterday for a short 60 km (I had to get a safety inspection done first to exchange my Quebec license plate for an Ontario one), it was rough like if I couldn't remember how to ride.

Today, 300 km in the Niagara region was really nice. Thats a good way to start the season :)

Beautiful day for riding, just be careful, lots of sand and dirt on some of the better riding roads

Back On The Boards.

Ahhh! Like a cold beer on hot day. Dropped the battery in, checked tire pressure, lights and insurance slip. Good thing too--I had forgotten to swap the new one in. Then, the magic button.

Brrrrooom. First time. Did about 50km on local roads, parking lots for the slow stuff. Gassed up on the way back. Spring has truly arrived. Good luck out there everyone. Season eight begins...

Re: Back On The Boards.

I have to finish painting my custom saddlebags, and wait for the snow/ice in the backyard to melt so I can pull her out of the basement. I'm hoping the rain tonight takes care of that.

I feel ya bud. The ice in my backyard has melted into an enormous muddy puddle that will probably freeze over again in a couple days, so it looks like taking the bike out of the house will have to wait a while longer.

I got to ride a bit today, rode from Ajax into Scarborough and back. Smiling the whole time :)

Just leaving now...eat your heart out- from last year - going to the same lovely area

It's hard but somebody has to provide the vicarious life for the Canadian winter :D

Nice to have the extra storage on the ST for rain gear and swim stuff.

What a great day, unexpected. First proper ride on the new scoot. But the biggest thrill was having decent riding gear, what a treat.

Are they all fair weather riders in Port Perry? The Tims there is usually jammed at the first sign of good weather. Today, I didn't see anymore than four bikes at any one time.

Only about 100km for me today, quite enjoyable. Was trying out a new exhaust and air box set up. The sewing machine is gone; the Thruxton now makes a lovely, most pleasing sound.

Rode to work at lunchtime on Friday. Too much going on on Saturday to get out much.
Went for a ride around "the Block" this afternoon.
The Block is Hockley Valley Rd/Airport Rd/Mono Centre Rd/Hwy 10.
It was dry and the breeze was actually warm on Hockley. The sand on the road was just a hint of dust in the centre of each lane.
Mono Centre Road, being on top of a ridge was a bit colder and since it doesn't get as much traffic as Hockley, there is still visible sand in the centre of the lanes. There is also a LOT of sand across the junction with Airport Road.

I expected to see a lot of bikes out on Sunday as well, but only saw one other guy on the road. Usually that first nice warm spell brings them all out early, before they tuck it away again till its much warmer. Yesterday was a beautiful perfect day for a ride.

Still too messy out with the large snow (and salt) banks melting everywhere. Hoping the rain today will wash 90% of that away and I'll be out either this coming weekend or the next.

Nice first ride yesterday. Popped in the battery, bike fired right up, as it should.
Got in a good 45 minutes. Would've ridden longer but the garage needed a severe cleaning.
As long as I get one 100+kph stretch in there to make sure my bike holds together!

I got. Late start on Sunday as I got my gal's bike out of storage and ready to ride. We rode by the Timmies and at that time (afternoon maybe 2ish) there were two bikes parked there. We didn't do a big ride but saw three or four bikes out.. All were Harley's. I was on my Black Strom and my gal on her white Gladius.
