So.... Who's Riding This Week????

I went out tonight, decent weather and most streets were dry! Can't wait till Spring!

For all you noobs out there just remember that no one is expecting you to be out there on a bike yet!

On a regular basis its dangerous on a bike, at the beginning of a season especially around this time its almost suicidal

happy riding :)

Due to bad influence from fellow forum members, waked her up from hibernation and went for a short ride. was only 10 minutes but I was smiling the WHOLE time :)

Cold tires + cold roads =.........
Don't be fooled there could be black ice. Waited this long be careful or you might just end up missing the whole season. Gonna do an oil change maybe tomorrow since I see rain in the forecast. If it's double digits I might just ride to the Spring show.

I has happened guys.....was riding all day. Was at girl's house and weather got really cold. Came out out of her driveway and didn't even give that much gas.
Im devestated but gear saved me. Please careful out there and might as well flame on. Ill snap photos tomorrow but for now my friends are taking me to a strip club to kill my mental pain.
:'-(

I know you feel like complete **** right now, but the fact that you're still in one piece is a win.

Ahh...patience is a virtue. People read on a forum that some other guy has his bike out, then think "guess I could too!" Better to wait until there's consistently good temperature, but live and learn :) Few more weeks for me personally, probably have it back on the road at the end of the month if the weather predictions keep, and the salt's been washed away.

Thanks for understanding guys. Really bummed out about this.
Looking for fairings.

what do you ride? how bad are the fairings?

2008 Honda cbr600rr. Color silver.
Bad enough for replacement. Also looking for shorty levers.
Recomendation on some shops is welcome as well.

this is another reason why I love the 250, even in the cold it barely has enough power to cause the back end to lose traction...If I had a SS especially a newer one I'd wait a bit longer.

I'm out having fun with what I have, and no way in hell is a 250 like a fat *****...more like a virgin just turned 18 high school girl...

At least I'm not the one with a sexy broad of a bike with a busted up face and an *** all bent out of shape...or one that's been sitting for months with a pussy full of dust desperately waiting for a shag...

I was gonna ride to work this morning but when I got home lastnight the bottom of thd drive way was a sheet of ice so I figured It wasn't a good idea but ill go out after work today :)
I would suggest to wait.

Anybody has experience with those eBay ordered fairings? I heard the fit is not the greatest.

A 250 has decent power but power isn't the issue. I'd be really careful with any SS with sport tires.. the tires jsut don't work well in the cold. I'm constantly surprised how well my Adventure tires work in cold. Doesn't work well on ice, though.

Maybe I'm just lucky? I've taken mine out a few times in -6 to +2 weather for 40 minutes to an hour. I'm using stock tires (BT016s) and haven't slid yet. But I have felt a fishtail once or twice from accelerating too hard on a straight.

Mind you, I choose my days carefully though. Ice is horribad.

Oh ima def be riding today...again.
Last evening was one of the warmer ones latey and this weekend sounds great.
When the rds are dry and temps are above zero i go.
Gotta watch for refreezing of wet rds at this time of year so I avoid below zero. Melts on to rd during day and can refreeze overnite.
Even tho temps will be well above zero saturday and sunday I'll still keep my tires at low pressures and never corner fast (25 front , 28 rear).
Ride her easy !
