So.... Who's Riding This Week????

To be honest I didn't even know that was going on, been doing night training here at work so haven't been on the forums much. I'm working till 12 tonight, won't be home till 2, but if I'm up in time to make it I'll be there for sure!

[h=2]2013 Season Kick off - March 23rd, 11:00 AM Coras -Burlington, Dundas and Appleby [/h]

I can tell you personally that the course isn't required by some. And may not necessarily affect your premium as mine isn't, hence why the course isn't really a necessity for me.

State Farm also doesn't give a discount for the course. I'd have taken it if they did but I started riding in Canada with years of experience already. I'm spending the same money on a Total Control course instead :)

Financial reason is the major component. But also a bit of my belief that it really is just a dedicated time an environment to practice with experience instructors, which I can honestly attempt on my own unless I prove myself wrong.
JayV is an instructor, I would take his advice or at least his help.

Installed my frame sliders today and saw about 4-5 bikes zip past my house. Would love to go for a ride but still too cold. Hopefully next weekend.

I saw an old Suzuki (maybe GSX-R or GS500) 2up-ing on the 401 east-bound near Courtice Road this afternoon.

I went for a 1.5 hour ride today. My hands were frozen at the end of it but the rest of my body was sweating! Tomorrow ill be wearing thin gloves underneath my riding gloves. Then ill be sweating the entire time! Oh and I almost crashed when my front tire hit a salt pile. Luckily for me, it was a small pile so my front tire got grip in time for me to recover. I was going about 20 km/h on that turn.

P.S. I hope to see many bikes on the road on the first weekend of April, +14*C starting on Thursday April 4th.

Heated grips FTW ($25 at Royal Distributing):) They also have heated gloves! Perfect for this weather.

I went for a short ride this morning... It was chilly but still fun. Be careful when cornering out there..

I just couldn't take it anymore. It was 4C and sunny yesterday, so I took it out of storage. Got my heated gear lead installed to the battery and I was good to go. Just need to replace a dead signal bulb now. Definitely recommend Powerlet heated gear to anyone who's looking, I only have the glove liners and it made riding in this weather great, hands don't get cold and no messing around with your grips.

Went for a ride today (About to go for one again), and it was fun but very cold. I really need to invest in some heated grips or gloves, 15 minutes in and my hands are frozen but it's worth it:D!!

Went for a ride, put about 50km today, still alot of salt on the roads, be carefull out there. Btw Saw a white Ducati on keele and langstaff, anyone from here ?

Put about 300km on her yesterday and another 100km today, but was definitely not my weekend for riding. No accidents thank god, but had one near miss. To start the day off I left my tank bag open (again) and my wallet flew out on the way to the kick off breakfast. Found it (thankfully) with everything important still in it except my debit card. By the time I got to the bank and had the old card cancelled and got a new one, I had missed the breakfast completely. Headed down to Toronto to pick up my pillion seat and congratulate a friend on his engagement, due to my mis-reading a text the guy who has my seat wasn't home, and my friend completely bailed. Headed down to Guelph for a friends birthday party, and as I got on the 401 the weather dropped what felt like 10 degrees. Going through Guelph some ****** decided to pull out of his driveway across 3 lanes of traffic into my lane right infront of me then slammed on his brakes because the light up ahead turned yellow....and finally when I got home the little snap to keep the excess strap clipped to the helmet broke. I think I should have just stayed in bed this weekend!

So glad my my bike's previous owner installed heated grips. Makes it quite enjoyable to ride in 3 degree weather =)

Looks like April 1st will be the day I take err out. +10c Sunny hopefully it rains so it washes these dusty salt away. Gonna change the oil this week and hope the weather holds.
