Are you reading the same thread as the rest of us?
Lol dude I was thinking the same thing from the moment he first posted. I was like when the hell were people calling Sikhs bad people? LOL.Are you reading the same thread as the rest of us?
If it's that easy for them then they should. It has been clearly established, repeatedly, that there is nothing in their religion that forbids a Sikh from wearing a helmet over a thinner turban.
So.. why don't the Sikhs who wish to ride simply do that?
I think that a lot of people have a bias against Sikhs because they think that they are coming here and trying to change our laws like some others religious orgs. and other than wearing their turbans that is completely false.
I have a number of Sikh friends so I am biased and I like the idea of not being forced to wear a helmet myself. I can't defend their kirpan but it doesn't bother me. Is it fair that they can bring it to school while my kid can't bring a knife, probably not but I do see a difference. I think that Sikhs have been good for Canada and if they want to wear turban's while riding a motorcycle like they can in BC and Manitoba I think that they should be allowed to.
When I just want to run to the store or go to a friends house a few blocks away I really don't want to wear a helmet. On the 401 I want a helmet. I was hoping this exemption if granted for the Sikh's would lead to a possible exemption for all.I simply don't want to wear a helmet. Should I be exempt from helmet laws?

I would like to see the helmet laws changed.
Obviously the law is the law until it is changed. You didn't answer my question.

And then why should any one group be granted an exemption from said law simply because they don't like it?

Good luck arguing, bro. That's not a valid reason. I've already stated why.
Any other reasons you can think of?
