Shopping list for 2014 track season

Reading comprehension is not your strong suit. Again, did I say don't go out on the track if you have stock suspension? Did I say you will crash if you have stock suspension? I said spending money on shiny things or stuff to give you an extra horsepower when you have stock suspension is stupid.

Also point out where I said anything about you being cocky. I asked if you wanted to give more advice about things you don't have.

Well to be fair, getting a full system or even a midpipe does free up about 10-15lb that is center mass on the R6.

That's why I said a midpipe and can will be some of the first parts I pick up this winter.

For track days only; I think the saved money from all this suspension stuff could be put towards more track time imo.

I do agree with benny on a few points. I'm about 160lbs and my stock suspension setup for me feels pretty good.

(I've only been to TMP)

Wow wow my pickle aint going into just anyones bum lol

I don't think anyone is saying that, we are saying use your money wisely, I used myself as a reference because I made the mistake of thinking that stock suspension would be ok for the first year, it isn't when you are trying to chase a podium with guys that have bikes with proper suspension.

I did many track days and never went down including Mosport, but I was going slow unlike racing, so if you are going at alow track day pace, then keep your stock suspension and go buy the shinny levers .. meh

If you are a fast track rider, means you have experience and that means you know where to spend the money and most likely you will have already spent the money on suspension. If you are a slow track rider then ride the bike stock until you get better and then go buy suspension, either way, do that in any case before buying the auto blipper

Hahaha, auto blipper?!

They will make anything to take any fun/skill out of track riding

So anyways - Waiting on Delivery of track fairings for the zx6r, going to paint it and sell it in the spring, done with the low ballers on kijiji

Your attitude you gave me in your reply indicated I was being cocky with the knowledge I have. I don't know you and you don't know me so what's with the random hostility? I'm not allowed to give advice based on my experience because it goes against the general Gtam racer population?

I'm not fat, and I weigh 180lbs. Kellen is right. I never said "You will crash on stock suspension", but I will say "I would have crashed, probably on corner 2, if I'd taken my old SV to the track with stock suspension". Front forks springs were 0.712kg/mm and I needed 0.95kg/mm. That's 25% stiffer. HUGE difference.

Anyway, buy what you want. It won't bother me, unless you crash while tuning your TC with street tires and stock suspension and make me lose track time. :)

And I said Stock is fine UNLESS you are fat. ie need springs etc for your weight. geezus people

But I'm not fat, and stock ISN'T fine for me. That's all I was saying.
Stock on a non race oriented SV is still different from and R6. But everyone just get on with it. Lets not kid anyone, we are all wasting money on this hobby as 99% are not making a living doing it.

It's a hobby, not a career.
