Shopping list for 2013 track season

My clutch switch wasn't even hooked up so the bike would barely rev past 12k and the suspension was soo badly setup my tires were ruined after 2 days. At the high 20's level it's the rider, not the bike. There's no reason a modern sport bike can't run a 1:25. I see a 90's 600 as modern enough.

Ran a 1:23 on a bone stock 04 ZX6R on my 2nd track day on two year old BT016s. Yeah at 1:28 its not the bike

Sounds like I need to start racing to get myself to the next level. Definitely once you're in the race environment you push harder and reach new limits. Good work!

I ate a Big Mac in 1:16. With fries!

lmao......Yeah, but was it a dbl Big Mac, and did it have extra sauce?

No man, I don't go for the double. I gotta edit the video this time first!

I killed a medium pizza in 3 minutes once. I worked with vultures when I worked at OMC one summer. hahaha....

Okay, back to the shopping list for 2013 track season. I will buy, at least once, a footlong and fries at Denny's Drive In (formerly the Dairy Dip, formerly owned by the original owner of the Cheryl-Ann, formerly the Cheryl-Ann on the main drag) in Grand Bend :)

I call BS. Complete and total utter BS. That's 2 s from pole in many BOTT races where the bikes have that much power and all their gears. At most TMP track days only the very fastest guys on race machinery are turning sub 1:20s. No way a newbie on a broken bike is doing that.

I cannot think of one logical reason for you to question the OP. If he says he did 1.20 then he did 1.20, whether he did 1.20, 1.40 or he's ever been to TMP at all. What's it got to do with you? Or is it that he had a bit of severe advice for TAFB? A poster you seem to have a soft spot for judging by previous PMs you've sent me on the subject.

And, to a certain extent, the OP is correct. TAFB seems to be spending an awful lot of (someones) money on tricking out his bike when he should be concentrating on learning to ride first. He's getting sound advice (that he doesn't deserve) and roundly ignoring it. If his ability to ride matched his ability to talk about riding then he'd have a Moto GP ride no doubt.

This one time I almost crashed and everyone was all like "woah that was crazy"! and I was all like "ya it's cool, I pooped before I put my leathers on", and they were all like "cool story bro".
