The standard metal loop thing have you had any challenges with it?Does your TIAB have the full chock or the ****** metal loop thing?
I agree with you, this one is for Mosport since it is only 30 min away from me. Also a backup for Grand Bend if my regular option for transportation is not availableHave you actually towed one of those?
I've seen one, and while it might be okay for short hops at low speed on smooth roads, I don't think I'd want to tow major distances with it.
Main problem is that there is no suspension whatsoever. Hit a bump at highway speed and bike and trailer will be flying and bouncing around back there. A related issue is that while the various clips and pins make it easy to put together and disassemble, it makes for a real rattle-trap. Pins that rattle around eventually wallow out the holes that they go through.
OK for temporary or emergency use. Wouldn't want to do long trips with it. Wouldn't want to drive through Michigan with it (horrible potholed roads).
You've probably seen my trailer (which has proper coil springs and hydraulic shocks). Between all the racetrack trips and Deals Gap trips, that trailer probably has around 150,000 km on it ...

its tough to load the bike solo...that's all. Not impossible...but i'd imagine the wheel chock makes it much easier as you lock it in and you're free to strap down with both hands.
Was thinking of getting the chock upgrade this year, but the chock front end is rather steep...$399 ish.
That is exactly the reason why I bought the princess auto one. I was planning to adapt it to the trailerBuy a Princess Auto chock for $50, strip it off the A frame and bolt it on to your trailer.

The harbour freight chock holds the bike fine while strapping down. Safe and sturdy.
Screw lessons, just got me one of these
