Shopping list for 2013 track season

Holy crap, no name ones cost an arm and a leg, that must have cost your soul.

It was actually cheaper than the no name tire changers. And it only had about 10 sets of tires throught it. I will change tires at the track for a litre or two of race fuel. LOL

I'm considering racing CTMP national this year.
Awesome! I may be there myself, and shannonville. I wasn't putting down anyone who rides track days, you have to start somewhere. When things get stagnant though why not see where you stack up? The track itself is only as boring as the competition.

Another small purchase today: chain master link riveting tool. Haven't seen these before, saw it cheap so decided to give them a try. Check it out here, looks promising.
would be one of those tools were I would spend the money on buying the best quality and not cheepo stuff

I got to test it today. One of the plates broke in half just right after my last push on the wrench. POS, don't buy. Next time I need to rivet a chain master link, I'll spend the $ for something that will last more than one time. You were all right.

That'll do, I have the same one works awesome.
It says: "Will rivet hollow nose master links (will not rivet solid soft-nose pins)", are the master links that usually come with DID ERV3 chains hollow nose?

Doesn't look very hollow to me :(

How does that not look hollow to you? It's hollow otherwise you need a quad stake rivet head tool not a flare like the one used for that did hollow pin

I said it dun look hollow cause I can't see through it :)

Ok, so if it's got a deep dimple in it to start, that's what they are calling "hollow", I see.

Yes they are not hollow all the way through, just the tip so it can flare out. The solid ones use a different tool that has a quad stake design, rather then flairing out it presses the end over on 4 sides

Bought two caliper seal kits from the dealer to rebuild my fronts. Pretty disappointed to find out price is 47 per kit, and only 25 from anywhere else on the internet. Lesson learned: no more blind orders to the dealers in Canada.

Getting my MikeyMoto rotors this weekend! and my forks/shock is in the mail (Accelerated Technologies).

I think I have everything; I just need to wait for a warmer garage so I can install everything after I get it all:
bodywork
forks
shock
quickshifter
sprockets
rotors

I'll have some before and after pics once I get at it. Some of it I can do indoors without the bike, the rest will have to wait.

I was thinking of a 1/4 turn throttle, but the stock R6 throttle is short as it is (I never had any need to finger-crawl to get it turned) so I might just leave it for now.
