Anyone know where I can get per drilled tank bolts for a 2009 zx6r? I remember seeing them but can't find them since mine are almost stripped I need to change them

Tank bolts???

Huh?

Tony @ Bluestreak can get ProBolt stuff.

If your removing and installing your tank enough to round off the bolts maybe you should try the sato quick release tank bolts. they go for about $45 but ive seen ebay knock offs for about $20

I'll make a video before/after soon when I get to do this, but I anticipate success.
I would love to see that. If you do a before and after make sure you only change one thing, the rotors. Please leave the rest as apples to apples. Either clean your calipers before or after the before/after video session.

Today I decided to make the before/after video of the floating rotors, but I couldn't remove one of the caliper bolts. That said, I may be able to remove the wheel without removing the calipers, but I gotta have this resolved.. Started a thread here with a picture of the goddamn bolt, please someone help me: http://www.gtamotorcycle.com/vbforum/showthread.php?167749-Stubborn-caliper-bolt-(

Can't wait for the videos.

Uh... no. I think you've got the wrong idea here.

09-12 ZX6R has an OEM Ohlins damper that mounts using the 2 front tank bolts, so if he is still using that damper those quick release tank bolt kits wont work...Well the they will work but your damper wont be very useful with the amount of play caused by the quick release...

The tank bolts are M6x30, you can get those pre drilled from a ton of places, race spec bolts

Thanks Johnny but 30 seems long. I'll double check tomorrow

After watching the 49ers blow it, We started talking BST wheels whats everyones thoughts on these wheels? SOme say I wouldn't trust them. Just wondering whats everyones .02. I good point made was why don't Moto Gp use carbon wheels.

Can't wait for the videos.

GoPro has better video quality/FPS rates, style/compact, memory card read size and picture resolution... but the Countour has GPS..... I think they should have incorporated that into the new GP3 rather than using WiFi. I would pay the $500 for the Black version with GPS. Then again, I wouldn't really use it for anything. Look how fast I'm going! Look how high I am!" lol.

But to each their own. GP3 for me :)

I'm pretty happy with my GP2 to be honest. But obviously I'll be using the GP3 once I retire it. I gave my GP away to a buddy of mine, who knows...

I love how compact the GP3 is, if you ever put the older generations on a helmet you would feel the weight, but you won't with this one (even when in the full waterproof housing).

Go ahead but I got that measurement from the service manual. If you are talking about the 2 front tank mounts that also hold the damper bracket, they are m6x30

I have an 09 zx6r and replaced those bolts with titanium bolts, I used 30's

Another small purchase today: chain master link riveting tool. Haven't seen these before, saw it cheap so decided to give them a try. Check it out here, looks promising.
