Shopping list for 2013 track season

Well seeing as how this is a shopping list thread I might as well contribute properly. 8 intake valves, 8 exhaust valves, retainers, springs, keepers for all
Which reminds me, I better give my intake valves an inspection!!! Lots of reports of failures for the 07/08 over on R1 forum :(

My friends, yikes:

His bike had less KM's than mine, and probably not worked as hard (no track days, etc.).

Today I bought a new LR44 battery for my digital calipers. Oh, and also picked up new steel and fibre plates for my new slipper clutch, which I had on order.

Other than bling factor, what are the other advantages of these? I would assume less weight, but what else?

Who needs more then Bling factor ? hahaha

Most people (me included) won't have a clue how to adjust Attack triples for a track, though. LOL I have them on the stupidbike, afraid to touch 'em.

To quote John Sharrard: "leave that alone until you're ready to get the last little bit out of the bike." Maybe this year. ;)

Attack triples = stiffer front end (less flex through the clamps) and gives you the ability to adjust the trail without changing the rake.

Certain bikes benefit from them a lot more than others. The front end on both my 10Rs (2004 and 2010) with the Attack triples were brilliant.... just throw that ***** in and let er eat.

Good Vid. Very informative. There are so many adjustments that can be made to a motorcycle and mm can make a big difference. A friend coined the word "Voodoo" relating to these adjustments. It's one thing to understand how they all affect how the motorcycle performs. It's another to be able to take it out on the track and interpret what they do and how to relate to someone how to fine tune the bike to work for the rider. There are so many variables that affect how a motorcycle rides and how these variables allow a rider to go faster. Guess that's why it is so fascinating.

Went down to Niagara US this morning and picked up an 05 gsxr 1k clutch cover and a HTC Droid Incredible phone to use for GPS lap timer with cracked screen, which I'll replace. The phone cost me 20 bucks and the replacement screen is 10 bucks. Clutch cover---29.99 in perfect shape. Totally worth the gas.

I agree I had them on my s1000rr world of a difference the key is to have the right person set it up for you and ur riding style

Pretty much all I did this off season was picked up a used full.yosh exhaust, some Chinese clipons, 2 sets of used bodywork that I repaired and am having painted. Bike worked well last season.
