Shopping list for 2013 track season

New subframe ready to go on the bike. Working on finding new fairings as well. Likely only other thing is finding some more ride height and having Sharrard set the bike up.

Yep. A bit more is needed for my superbike, plan to spend a bit more money with John this spring. I'll be about 15lbs lighter too which is actually probably a good thing, but my front end is maybe a bit stiff for my pace (but then McBain *loves* the front brake).

If he sets up your street bike it will be better than stock but be honest when he asks you if you ride spirited on the street... because you'll regret it if you really don't. ;)

I'll be taking both bikes to him. I'm 210lbs before I put on any gear and I'm finding the 600 is definitely in need of ride height and maybe some heavier springs. My 1000 is already setup for spirited street riding and I'll definitely keep it that way :)

The 1000 is also getting some dyno time after the PCV was added at the end of the season.

Why are you adjusting ride height?

got the trailer. Started set up....need the wheel chock still, and a bin for the front on it for my extra clipons and rearsets, oil ect.
towing with my 2012 si should look kinda funny lol its a 10x5 hahaha

Sold my stock fairings and my electric guitar. Now I have a thousand unallocated dollars to spend on something silly :D

Spend it on me. I can be silly. I'm going to race the 600 in the 1000 class. Three sets of tires? Please?

corsara if you have everything else you need.....spend it on- oil/filters,back up levers, rearsets ,clipons, and tires.
or things you dont think about like a really good coleman cooler.
or keep it as a back up fund for when you crash.

Umm, sorry, racing 600 in the 1000 class doesn't sound silly enough.. ;)

the 600s are quicker then the 1000s in the corners, people do it all the time.
its not till the mid/end of the straight the big power gets used.
hell a really good rider on a 250 will walk a 1000 in the corners every time

250 like as in a cbr or gp bike?

i cant remember who it was riding it....it was a racer 5 day at grand bend i wanna say 2010? ....dude had a race cbr250...on the tech track layout, he was crushing guys with 600s and 1000s. then the straight he was left in the dust LOL. but he would damn near catch them all the way till the straight again. it was very cool to see
he was a WERA racer, it was a cool bike to...repsol paint.

Those are some slow 1000 riders. :) A CBR shouldn't be able to play that.

250GP bikes, sure they rail through corners like nobody's business. Light weight, combined with light wheels, combined with absolutely no chance of touching the throttle until you're halfway out of the corner exit; means you slam that bike into the corner at a speed where there's virtually no room for error and carry every km/h you can all the way through it. Watch the practice sessions at VRRA sometime, where they have the 125 and 250 riders out with the Period 4 Heavy riders on GSX-R 750s, FZ-Rs and ZX-7s (etc.), it's every bit as frantic as it looks because many of them run similar lap times but completely different laps. I recall being passed by two 125s at the apex of Three on SMP Nelson and passing them again coming out of Four, only to be passed entering the front straight, pass them into One, wash/rinse/repeat.

anyone order anything from motomummy?

I was looking at a damper for my bike, and it is $100 cheaper with them than with our sponsors (some sponsors even more $)

That includes shipping with USPS

I ordered sprockets and chain from them. Came fast, but had to pay 13% + $5 to the post office guy upon delivery.
