Roll Call: Calabogie August 6th & 7th

Well I just found out I'll be dropping a lot of cash into the head on my bike this winter so that's where all my "sponsorship" money is going.
 
Both my track bikes are headed to Z or Miller this winter for a full checkup and probably get some fresh springs in there at the least. So I will soon feel that pain too...
 
Ya my valve clearences are tight and there's almost no schim under the bucket. I hope it's just seats and not valves too. I thought I ended up with the bike that had low miles?? This better not be a regualr thing.
 
Is Miller back in action? Last time I spoke with him he said he was taking an extended vacation and not sure when he will be back.
 
I haven't talked with him in a while, so I'm not certain.
 
I'm out for riding, but will be there with TLDeano and my camera. I'm limited to where I go/sit and take pics cause I won't leave my dog alone in the travel trailer, but if someone (like a wife/gf...someone not riding) is willing to pit near us, and just keep an eye on her, I can take many more pics from better areas (I'll post the pics on here...they are free). Just look for the black greyhound, she's super friendly...I just don't know if she'd whine/bark if left alone in the trailer.

If you pit somewhere near us, im sure between the guys someone will always be around.

I'll be there for tuesday only... what time do the gates close? I'll be pulling in monday evening.
 
I'll be there both days. First time at the track. Looking forward to it. Blue & yellow CBR # 945. I'll be heading up on Sunday afternoon from Mississauga. Is anyone else staying at Calabogie Motor Inn?

Usually 9:00 ~ 10:00 PM ish. It's not uncommon for late comers to camp on the road. (The road doesn't go anywhere else, so there's no other traffic)
 
I'll be there. Grey F-350 with large trailer. If anyone needs a ride I've got plenty of space in my trailer. Leaving from Mississauga. (401 and Dixie)

Had a good time, ran some pretty good laps near the end of the day in the 2:14-2:15 range. For whatever reason, i just couldn't get my head into it until then, my braking points were crap. After that I followed a couple pros around until I got tired... haha. My brand new lap timer quit in mid-afternoon so... didn't get times for what felt like my fastest laps. Figures.

Got a chance to ride with TLDeano for a session. The boy likes to go right out of the barn gates, for sure. Unfortunately that was the only session we were close enough on the grid, I guess. Anyway, good time.

My buddy's not so happy... crashed the bike twice, the rearsets are trashed and the birdcatcher is bent pretty bad. His Tokico calipers seized up when they got hot, took a second crash to figure out that they weren't going to co-operate... we had them apart and cleaned them all up, lubed them, etc. but 14 corners later, WHAM! down he goes like a sack of rats. That's the second friend I've had crash recently because of seizing Tokico calipers, so I'm going to get myself a rebuild kit for the stupidbike and then shop for some monoblocs. Screw that.
