I had a cabbie throw french fries at me 2 days ago. No idea why. I wasn't tailgating him or riding aggressively.
wtf did the fries hit you?

hi there, sorry to hear about this. I'm sure its not going to be cheap to fix that mirror.. $600-800 ? Yes, unfortunately the ****** bags that drive cars, ride bicycles, walk the street also ride motorcycles.. Im sure his plate was hard to reada and you wouldnt have had a chance to see it. Did you report it or call it in to the police? Who knows *maybe* they pulled someone over later that may have fit the description of the bike/rider.
Anyway, like a lot of things, not all of us are like that.
On another note, I'm surprised this guy was able to do that to your mirror an not loose control of the bike?!!! wow.
Nah just landed on the road in front of me. Maybe it was just coincidence that I was behind him and he just didn't want that handful of fries?

I've been behind a car that threw half a family sized bag of chips out the window. People are ********.
I would not have been in the left or passing lane, had I not been passing a vehicle. It is for passing..... then this would not have happened. From a biker perspective, should I have touched my brakes rather then coasting? My thoughts are one would be more likely to lose control if you are confronted by brake lights at that close a range causing you to brake hard, even if I was just doing it to warn them to back off.
He was really tight to my car when he smacked it, so it wasn't a long reach. Like I said, he is working his way into a pine box.
As for my mirror..... my car is on the way to the scrap yard (Jetta TDI with 500,000+ km's) so I just duct-taped the hole left. If it had been my newer car I really would have been ******.
Wow. The guy was passing (be it slowly), but really? He deserves to get his mirror knocked off because he wasn't doing it quick enough?
I may get annoyed at OP, but just because he is not breaking the law as much as I'd like him to be is no reason for this.
Plus I'm on a SS - I'm sure there is another way around if I need to be in that much of a hurry.
Hey Bikers,
Off the top, I do not own a bike, but at times think it would be a great way of cruising. Most bikers, as with car drivers, most are law abiding good drivers, but there are those who wreck it for the rest of you.
On May 21, about 8:45 PM, east bound 401 around Whitby, I was passing a truck doing about 120 kmhr. A sport biker comes screaming up behind me and sits about 5 feet off my bumper. I did what I would do to anyone tailgating me, I took the car off cruise (DID NOT touch the brakes) and slowly passed the truck. The biker didn't even give me a chance to pull to the right in front of the truck before he came flying by, reached out and smashed my passenger side mirror. By smashed, I mean hanging by its wires, not useable, not repairable. He, of course was then gone like a shot.
So, the reason for my rant.... to get it off my chest and if any of the people on this forum hear of this biker bragging how he "gave it" to a lame car driver, let him know he will end up in a box much sooner then me with the anger/speed issues he has.
Yeah no reason to punch some ones mirror, its not a common practice among most riders! But why did you slow down your current speed? What were you planning on doing, cause frustration to the person behind you. To me it does sound like you caused some frustration and got the over reaction of the person behind you.
maybe when you changed lanes to overtake the truck, you didn't check your blind spot, and you cut off the rider.
Maybe that's why he was so close to your bumper?
And when you slowed down, maybe that just made things worse?
Btw, I can't believe that you actually joined a motorcycle forum just to rant about this, especially when you took the first aggressive move. I'll get my popcorn out!
