RIP Steve Jobs

Great? No. Usable and functional, for most people? Certainly. Far more so than the abortion known as OS2, in the many flavours I was cursed to work with. Win31 was a bridge, from DOS to a fully GUI operating system. Any technological transition will have things about it, that people don't like, but it was a huge improvement over the various menu systems people had been using, up until then.

If you'd wanted to make a point then you should have brought up the original Win95, that missed all public release dates in Canada (except the company I was working for), or WinME ;)

compared to the macs at the time it was still primative

They say before you die, your whole life flashes before your eyes. Sucks for Steve Jobs since Apple doesn't support flash.

Obama said he'd take care of Jobs...but this is a bit too far.

Job's family has stated that the funeral will be open to the public, but due to the way its being held, there will be no reception.

boooooyah :D

10 points! Well done.

The only decent ones I've heard are about him dropping before the iphone 5 did, he got killed by PC (...Pancreatic cancer), and will his funeral support flash photography. Frankly, I'm disappointed that it's taking so long

RIP, though. My mac is running 3 years strong in his memory :D. But the sooner we can laugh about things, the better off we all are.

Did he? Did he invent the cell phone? Text messaging? The tablet computer even? Nope...he just put them in shiny wrappers, restricted their use and sold them at a premium. He was a brilliant marketer...I believe Wozniac was an inventor.

Agreed. Alot of unknown people should have got credit for the inventions. But sadly in the American mainstream media, its the guy/girl with the most commercial appeal gets the credit.

Great minds discuss ideas; Average minds discuss events; Small minds discuss people.

Can you name one of those million who died, or are you just pretending to care?

No I can't name any of those millions, but at the same time I don't pretend to care about this jobs guy either

I guess we would all be more sympathetic if a million racoons died in some dumpster...
