RIM Playbook. Limited sale... $200

The new software is pretty cool, still messing around with it but no disappointments thus far.
Didn't know about using the phone's keyboard to type on the PB. I'll check it out... thanks for the heads up.

Edit: Can't seem to get the update for the BB Bridge...
What's up with that?

Just couldn't find the link to update it...
Stumbled on it by accident, it's in the process now, we'll see how it turns out.

I just downloaded it on my phone and it's rebooting as I type.
I'm supposed to update from the phone not the PB, right?

Pretty ****ing cool... lol
I just used my phone to access GTAM on the PB, can't figure out how to scroll down though.

My wife just texted me at work that she can't install bridge software on her business phone. Is it possible her I.T. dept. has it locked down?

Figured it out, all you have to do is hold the alt button and use the track pad to scroll up or down.
This thing is pretty ****ing awesome as I was debating on getting a wireless keyboard to make emailing a bit less of a pita... This is helps big time!

Yes, it is possible, as my company does not officially let us add private e-mail to our phones, but a chat with the IT secirity guy got him to un check the box when I told him how much private e-mail would be coming over his network if he did not let me.

FYI if you do a search in the App World for "Motorcycles" there's a great new maintenance log you can get for the Playbook. Perfect for people like me who forget what they did and when they did it. The same app maker has a cheezy motorcycle match game my daughter likes playing.

I love the video chat on the playbook. I used in in Jamaica a few times calling back here. It worked great!

OS2 is great!

More I use it, the more I like it.

The auto suggest feature at the top of the keyboard is quite slick. Other neat findings as well.

It's a shame this OS didn't get released when the PB was first launched.

.

The keyboard predictions are pretty good. I am just starting to use it and it works well. If they released good applications with it when it came out it wouldn't have the bad name it has now. The problem now is who will want to develop apps for a device that won't be around much longer?

I just downloaded that maintenance app now. Thanks for the tip.

It's not a shame, they just ****ed up releasing it half baked ... because they were late already .... it goes back to why they are where they are.

But certainly better now than never.

It's supposed to support Androis apps. Or maybe that will be BB10?

Takes longer to spool up with OS2, but that is offset by finally having a cut & paste feature. I like the pop-up keyboard for entering passwords on sites, it's nice having the number bar on top instead of having to tapdance on the ABC/123 button... Too bad it isn't on the regular keyboard. My laptop is now permanently docked on the desk in my den at home, this PB is the bee's knees for when I'm mobile.
