Recent movies you saw - recommend or no

Watched "Wasabi" - French "rough cop - spoiled brat" comedy. Not a bad one.. Jean Reno is an excellent actor and the supporting cast was ok. I love the scene where he goes to town on the Yakuza with a couple of golf clubs

District 13 - Don't bother unless you REALLY like parkour (no CGI/wires). The plot and the acting were flat

Not really.. But in this case, they just got a couple of parkour specialists (not such hot actors, though), built a flimsy plot around showing off their skills and that was it.

I think it was quite a breather from the typical hollybull crap.
Really loved the parkour & I won't say the story was flat at all. Most of the stunts were actually performed because there's not too much of switching cameras. David Bell, who was the main character is the "Inventor of Parkour". But if you ask me, it was Jackie Chan & his crew.

Most of the people I recommend this film to really enjoyed it, but different people has different taste

I enjoyed the parkour action, but nothing else. Variations of this story have been done by Hollywood, everybody else and all of their grandmothers, ad-nauseum.

Silver Linings Playbook was an incredible movie. Going to definitely buy it.

I saw this on TV a few weeks ago. Pretty badass!

There is a sequel out there.. Just watched it last night, found it to be a bit better than the original, but I wasn't wowed.

bought a blu-ray copy of The Avengers.

normally i burn everything myself, and it comes out pretty good, so i wanted to see what a store bought blu ray looked like on
my system.

wicked.

Warriors...what an awesome movie....really enjoyed it.

District 13s was a good movie.

Wasabi was a great movie. Jean Reno was absolutely killing it in that role. I wish he did more movies.

Olympus has fallen, great movie, I really enjoyed it.

I'm on a bit of a Luc Besson trip.. Just watched Bandidas last night.. That was a pretty bland chick-buddy comedy. At least with Penelope and Salma in it, I was able to sit through all of it.

Just download the .mkv file and it will look the same.

edit: If your burning onto a DVD disregard my answer, I watch through my media player and it comes out bluray quality.

Continuing with my Besson rampage.. Lockout - very blah and generic sci fi action flick. Shafted secret agent has to save the president's daughter from a space prison. Got nothing to recommend that one.

Watched Lincoln last nite. How the hell did Argo win?
