Recent movies you saw - recommend or no

I saw Skyfall on the weekend and really enjoyed it. I still liked Casino Royale better, but definitely worth seeing whether or not you're a Bond fan.

Sometimes they try too hard though and then you get something like "The Master" which was 2h of pretentious bollocks. Such a waste of fine actors too even if Joachim Phoenix was more or less playing himself (insane off his head person).

I'm going to see Skyfall tonight and I've heard good things about Flight. Can Denzel make a movie that isn't awesome??

Hmmmm don't know about Denzel. He's like Tom Cruise. Where he's basically himself the WHOLE time. There's no difference in character role, he can just get emotional on cue.

Perfect example for Tom Cruise is Valkyrie.... he's german tom cruise. then there's fighter pilot tom cruise, etc...

Those two are the Jack Ryans of the movie industry. Always the same guy, just doing different **** each time.


I will see Skyfall though. But it has to be IMAX (I can't stand 3D ****, it's such a gimmick that needs improvement).

Flight is good, well acted, well written.... the first half hour is awesome. But, they front-load the action, and don't expect a real feel-good movie

Training day is in my top 20 for sure.

Skyfall was very well done, right up there with Casino Royale. Makes you forget they even made the Quantum one.... Love the whole Thug in a suit James Bond.
(from a tech geek point of view, there are some loop holes, but it doesn't matter one way or the other, still well done)

Flight was better than expected, and I thought pretty good. Can't go wrong with Denzel. Loved the first half of the movie as much as the last 30 mins.

Man on fire was excellent and liked Taken...they say Taken 2 sucks...still wanna see it.
Was hopin Savages was good...but seems most are not liking it.
Skyfall is my must see soon..hoped it was excellent, seems to be a thumbs up ...like all the Bond movies even the oldies.
 
Argo - staring and directed by Ben Affleck about the 1979 Iran Hostage Crisis.

It was very good and stuck to the facts. It was also very tense at times even though you obviously know the outcome.

I recommend it.

Saw Skyfall.

It was great until the last ten minutes. A good ending would have made it better than Casino Royale IMO but they dropped the ball.
