Just bought Stubby the "50 yrs of Bond" box set.We watched Thunderball in blu-ray last nite.Even by todays standards of cgi,the special effects used in Thunderballs underwater scenes were great esp being made back in 1965.

I watched Lawless todaY

I thought it was Fantastic

Screenplay written by Nick Cave.

Wait, you don't like anything/anyone that's outside of your pop music comfort zone. Nevermind

I dont recall saying anything like that.

Are you just assuming that because I didnt like that stuff you posted when you think about a certain quote from Blade runner ?
Wait, Nevermind. You don't like anything/anyone that doesnt like what you do.

Had to stop myself from yelling, "WHAT, ARE YOU STUPID?!" at the screen for 2 hours straight.

Isn't that the reaction while watching any of the Alien movies?

Saw Killing Them Softly last night, don't waste your time. Apart from a few funny lines a weak story with no build up. And to think I wasted 90 minutes of date night on this...

I saw expendables 2, kinda cheesy but funny. I cant stop lol

I really only found the Chuck Norris, and the occasional Jason Statham lines to be funny. They were cheesy without being smothered in Gouda, unlike anything involving Schartzaboober.

Come on...
Did u tell me u didnt laugh when Arnie & Bruce got into a smart car?
Or when Bruce told Arnie you've been back too many times?

U have a wicked sense of humour

The only parts I found even remotely funny with with Arnold and Chuck. This movie had potential to be so bad it was good. Instead it was so bad, it was just so damn bad. There are cheesy parts for sure, but half the time you get the sense that Stallone is actually taking this seriously and trying to make a decent movie.

The latest watch list:
-Safety Not Guaranteed
. Good. I thought it was well done and had quite a few funny moments. The main character was very well done. I didnt like the ending that much but overall it was good.
-Paranorman. Good. It was solid for an animated movie. Good animation, funny, good morale story. Stop Motion > CGI.
-Nitro Circus The Movie/3D. Good. They are showing their age. Travis gets knocked out really easily and had to wear a ridiculous amount of padding on any sunts he does do. One of the crew almost dies. Otherwise, business as usual.
-Amazing Spiderman. Neutral. Rehashing the same thing can only be done sooo many times. It was alright, not good, not terrible. I found Stan Lee's part pretty funny though.
-The Raid Redemption. Good. If you like ridiculous action movies and elaborate fight scenes this movie is for you. The fights scenes are really good and done without cuts which is nice.
-Get the Gringo. Pretty Good. I liked it. I thought it was a good returned for Gibson. Nothing groundbreaking and not as good as his older stuff but still a solid movie.
-The Girl Next Door. Good! Missed it when it came out. Great coming of age story. Was different/better than expected.
-Shame. Bad. I did not like it at all. It was shot REALLY well imo. The plot didnt seem to go anywhere for me. A lot happens but for no real clear reason.
-Chronicle. Good. Not what I expected. A bit of a gimmicky movie but worth the watch. Main character does a great job.
-The Lovely Bones. Good! Really well done. Sad as hell. The acting was really good from all the main characters.

No, I didn't laugh. I just rolled my eyes because some jokes just get overused. I laughed more at the original "Total Recall" when the woman who picked up the case stole Arnie's line.

Maximum Conviction - Segal just keeps getting bigger and bigger, almost ready for a Godzilla movie.. Austin was normal, the supporting cast was standard Segal entourage. It was kinda funny seeing one guy get killed and then seeing him run around again (the bad guys were mostly masked), kinda like that chick ninja in American Ninja 3. All in all, not worth any amount of money, but ok to veg out and focus on something else

Last Movie I Saw was Talash. I think it was a movie that was well worth the money and time. It was an excellent movie.View attachment 30818

This one sounds interesting.. Amir and Kareena have good on-screen chemistry and I like their styles.. Definitely gonnacheck it out

Went to see Lincoln on the weekend. NOT the vampire one!

Was pretty good, interesting and was good to learn some new stuff. The old school burns were also pretty epic. They talked in the old english style though, so my slow brain was sometimes just trying to catch up.

Next movie:The hobbit in hidef 3D!

The vampire one was pretty good too. Interesting how they actually wove both real history and the mythical sort through a story about a vampire hunter.

Just finished watching this...

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0091557/

The Mosquito Coast. maybe not for everyone, but i enjoyed it

think i might watch LAWLESS tonight

Mosquito Coast is kind of a wierd one. I walked away from it not really knowing how to feel.

Lawless was pretty good. I liked it.

I watched "End of Watch" (Jake Gyllenhaal, Michael Pena) and its a great friggin movie.

I also watched that last Resident Evil movie and its just as bad as the last few.

Skyfall, like some parts of it didn't like other parts. The good: Aston Martin DB4 from Goldfinger makes a cameo, original Bond theme was highlighted, decent actions scenes. The bad: Vengeful super agent is flaming gay (why does everything have a gay angle these days?), new Q is a geeky hacker nerd (just like in Die Hard 4). Q has always been a hands-on mega gearhead who makes great weapons in disguise but now he just works the keyboard and tells Bond where to go. Message to action movie producers: computers are boring and no amount of flashy graphics can make computer scenes exciting! Stop pairing up loner action heroes with computer nerds!

just came back from watching Flight....man, the opening half hour was breath taking....they really did an amazing job recreating what a crash would feel like. They were pretty spot on with depicting the accuracy of the cockpit. Mind you most pilots just grab for the checklist (they have a checklist for EVERYTHING).

Not gonna ruin the movie but the crash they used for the movie actually did happen, the cause was the same....
