Recent movies you saw - recommend or no

I recall $2 matinees in Buffalo NY decades ago. Saw Close Encounters in 70 mm ....when that damn ship came over the tower the audience all gasped at once. Opening day so no one knew what to expect.
Have a hard time seeing theatres surviving long term. Home screens getting better, bigger and cheaper and often a better picture.

Used to be $3.50 at the crappy little theatre at Six Points, back around 2000. That was the theatre where the cops SWAT team gets smoked by the abomination in "Resident Evil: Apocalypse."

Most of the theaters today have almost half the seats. huge reclining seats, no heads in front of you. much better than years ago. I have an 85" TV at home, still much better in the theater (IMO)

I still go to the movie theatre every now and again, maybe three or four per year but there is not too much that is compelling these days. My family does more often than I do.

My MO is to see movies in theatres weeks after they come out (usually just blockbusters) to reduce crowds, seat kickers, loud snackers, talkers, etc.

I also refuse to go if my wife's one friend is going with us, they do not talk during the movie but they yap right up to the point it starts, which I still find super annoying and embarrassing.

This was a treat today in the big iMax ( except struggling to get out of the seat )
Both dottor and I enjoyed it and managed with no walker all day imgres.png
ILM was very evident in this movie.

Some good flix coming too.
This one based on of wildest true stories I've ever read

"Nobody" bit of a let down.

Use to be $2.50 Tuesdays in the daHood. Good times then.

Watched Reptile (Netflix) , it was suspenseful.

Also watched Maudie (Netflix), it was very well done. What a tough life.

Not recent but damn....
Been a while.

Keitel and DeNiro hardly recognizable and Jodie Foster really was 12 !!!! and far from her first movie.

New pretty good European(Spanish) Sci-Fi movie on Prime with one of my favourite Spanish actress. Also Berlin from La Casa De Papel has a main role as well.
Was interesting to see the final product after watching snippets from her IG with the movie set, decorations, special effects and actors interractions.

Watched Guardians of the Galaxy Vol3…

Easily the worst movie I’ve seen in a long while. The first 2 we’re WAY better.

Do not recommend if you haven’t seen it yet.

Heat (1995) with DeNiro and Paccino. It sucked.

Watched Mission Impossible Dead Reckoning pt 1
I don't remember is previous installments had this much comedy bits, this sure did, some ok some not
Overall decent, Hayley Atwell, really stole the show in many ways.

Gran Turismo - Surprisingly watchable and decent
