Fantastic novel and nominated for 11 Academy awards. David Lean ( Dr Zhivago, Lawrence of Arabia and others ) has a fantastic eye and loves his panaroma shots..
I wish it had been remastered the way Lawrence has been.
I put it on hold until I can find a decent image.

A movie that a friend wrote (also wrote the novelization) is on Prime. It's called "The Parish." I don't normally like horror movies, because they tend to skew to slasher and jump scare these days, but I like this one. Of course I'm biased, so take that into account. This is the friend who made me a RCMP officer in an alternate 1930s world, in his Dieselpunk novel series "Airship Daedalus", then summarily killed me off :ROFLMAO:
 
Finished the complete Downton Abbey series in 4k.
The movie is apparently available that way as well but not on prime :(

 
Just finished watching Oppenheimer. Wow.

Took me a while to recognize Robert Downey Junior in his outstanding role. And Cirian…I don’t know poo but I’d be shocked if he doesn’t win so,etching for that performance.

Locked In on Netflix with Famke Jansen. Don’t do it. Complete and utter bollocks. Made for TV movie tripe. If Netflix keeps doing this I might hoof the crap to the curb. It’s just terrible.

Well, one thing we always do is to look at the IMDB score and if something is less than about 6.5 we don't watch it. Locked In score is 5.1, so I'd presume the movie was a dog and you've confirmed it.

Saw Oppenheimer and Killers of the Flower Moon, Both great movies. IMDB 8.5 and 8.0 respectively

Just finished watching it.
I’m a big fan of the genre.

It was well-written.

I enjoyed it.
