Lynch likes his shocker/misshapen moments....Twin Peaks for example.
I found myself badly missing the ability to turn on subtitles, were I viewing it in a digital form at home.
I thought of a better way to quantify Oppenheimer - I am really glad I got to see Dunkirk in the theatre, and would definitely recommend that experience to anyone (unless you are at risk of a heart attack). Between the two, Dunkirk was definitely a superior theatre watch. Is that being fair to Oppenheimer? Probably not! It was never billed as an edge of your seat movie, and they almost certainly made a movie about Robert Oppenheimer as exciting as it possibly could be
I saw Barbie last week and it was not at all what i was expecting.I generally like a good Nolan flick, but as @Lightcycle points out nothing beats home comfort, and not having to be surrounded by yahoos, and people munching away. Movies these days would have to be the exception for me to drag my butt out to the theatre.
So no one went to see the Barbie movie? C'mon no one? (no I did not, that is not the exception, even with Margot Robbie)
I highly enjoyed the movie. The man was horrible to his performers from what I’ve read, but the movie was good and glossed over his story from my understanding.
I love musicals, admire Hugh Jackman and adore Zendaya.....
Everyone said Jackman was crazy to tackle it ....he wasn't
The Greatest Showman movie review (2017) | Roger Ebert
