Read the news. This stand up citizen has charges on his record from guns to drugs to driving offences etc etc. would you ride from mass to ny without a license? No one I know would even consider it. These morons thought they owned the road. Obviously they were incorrect and by how they acted they are nothing more than a bunch of dumb ****in thugs who deserve what they all get coming to them. Riding like douchewaffles is what started this incident so I'd say it's rather relevant. Anything else?

What started the incident was them threateneing Lien right before he took off. It doesn't matter what happened before that...
That had some sort of road rage argument, so what... When they confined him and threatened him... that made him drive off the way he did. The fact he hapened to run over this Jay Wheelzie guy was nothing more than collateral damage. Lien did nothing wrong... They made the situation "real" and caused their buddy to get run over when they threatened Lien... Not when they brake checked him, not with whatever happend before that...
Never called him a stand up citizen... wouldn't call him a thug either. I guess our ideas of 'thugs' are a little different.
I did read the news... I just didn't pay that much attention to Jay's record.. as it doesn't really matter to what happened. He's paid for his bad choices that led him to be infront of that truck.. Zero sympathy for him.

Mieses (sp?) isn't an innocent bystander.

As the beginning of the video clearly shows, the range rover didn't move through the group of bikers. Rather, the disorganized swarm of bikers overtook the range rover and surrounded it.
The guy, Cruz, can be seen deliberately moving into the lane the range rover is in and then pull ahead and break-checked the range rover.
Cruz is only bumped by the range rover. He's not knocked off his motorcycle, but is able to continue riding.
The driver of the ranger rover, Lien, does stop after the bump, but is immediately swarmed by the other other riders. Mieses and some other riders can be seen blocking the range rover. Cruz, and others, are hitting the range rover; one of the range rover's tires are slashed.

Lien, fearing for his life by an angry mob, accelerates through the mob to escape. Given the circumstances, imho, totally justified.

Anyone who thinks that Lien is actually safe sitting inside that range rover needs a reality check. As you can see at the end of the video clip, one of the riders is able to smash out Lien's window with a couple blows of a helmet. Lien is then dragged out, beaten and slashed with a knife across the face.

If it wasn't for the bravery of a couple bystanders who stepped between Lien and his attackers, I doubt Lien would be alive.

You will also notice that there are several other riders with GoPro cameras mounted on their helmets. If Lien was the menace on the road that they're making him out to be (instead of the other way around), then where is their footage demonstrating it?

If that's typical of their rides it would be tough to have any sympathy. Better safe than sorry, run 'em over. Still, I have difficulty seeing myself accelerating over people in that fashion. I see that as a last resort option. Those guys in front of the SUV probably wouldn't have anticipated it because to their mind the situation hadn't risen to that level. Why would you go in front if you thought it was a fight to the death? Now, if I'd known Wheezee drove from Mass. on a suspended licence (1999!!) I would hand wifey the .44 Magnum to do the honours.

So it attracts 300+ bikes because, who wants to be they guy that missed this? Then it goes well off the rails, and a guy gets run over and another beaten hard. Nice group ride.

Now we have a 33yr old bank VP family man vs. herd of bikers with no ins/suspended license/ mulitiple offences. HUGE defence budget vs. legal aid, its NY this case is already solved.

Same video shows them swarming a Prius in an intersection waiting to turn left on a green (they were running a red). They verbally assaulted the driver and knocked off the side mirror(s) of that poor sap who happened to be in their way. I've got more concern for any damages to the undercarriage of the Range Rover than I have for mister I-don't-need-no-steenking-licence's spine.

NONE of you knew anything about anyone's driving or criminal record when you saw them get plowed under the SUV.
Once you did, you applied a certain "spin" to your remarks.


I hope Lien moves out of NY for his safety.

If I was driving and a bunch of Harley types rolled up and around me, I would put on my 4 ways or turn signal (right or left) to pull over and let them by. He is a VP at a Bank, he understands RISKS and POTENTIAL for volatility. Avoid the situation if you can.
They outnumber you easily. He can afford a new SUV (probably paid for by the bank with their bailout money).

After running them over, he did NOT escape he made it worse for himself and his family.
He was never going to get away after PLOWING them over.

What is he PLOWED over one of those off duty Police Officers on a bike?
Which way do you think the Police would be spinning this.

If YOU were at the front doing nothing wrong just joining the ride and you were plowed over, what do you say now?

If it were a a couple of newbs or a guy and his gf on their beginner 500 just going to check it out and they were plowed over, is it their fault.

With your logic, if someone at Port Dover just plowed through and you were hit then so sad too bad you should not have been there.

Lovely to see you again. Your frothotainment pleases me. I don't for a minute condone the biker behaviour but in light of the fact that law enforcement (per Wall Street Journal) says they still don't know 80% of what happened it might be interesting to know how Lien might have contributed to the situation before video. I agree this has nothing to do with bikers but people interacting. I still don't get why Lien didn't move forward slowly. Anything that happened to him after he accelerated over people is understandable.
