Racism against blacks in 'Murica

Does anyone think that maybe Trump is saying, in a terribly wrong way, what many of us have been saying for a long time? That before we deal with everyone else's issues, we have to clean up our own yard first?
Tbh, I haven't been following it that much because imo he's a doosh. But maybe that's what he was starting with and it kind of morphed into the $#!+show it is now.

Looking closer I expect to find a raving lunatic monster but am always disappointed. Should you be concerned about Trump?
don't matter, folks are fed up, if not (waaay more) disgusted with status quo

The way i see it, Trump is a lunatic, that doesn't know much about politics but knows a lot about bullying and pushing people in one direction to then let them down or claim not having made any promises even if the facts are put in his face.

His pride and greed will rule America, he doesn't really care about the people except when its to make money out of them, insult them, belittle them. Its what we could call the bad kind of narcissism. Giving the USA's military power and secret service intel to him doesn't sound like the brightest idea...
Which is besides the subject...

But what IS in the subject is that if he gets elected, i doubt that he'd follow expert advice over his gut feeling and that's where we might run into problems; the way he belittles women in his speech, dismisses problems that he doesn't understand, is SO GODDAMN DELIRIOUS about his own image, doesn't sound like the leader of a country. Unless we're talking about dictatorships. Then that is the perfect profile.

Sounds exactly like a skit representation of a dictatorship:

There's a problem somewhere.

I saw a Young Turks youtube video where the Turkish-American host (Cenk) revealed that his Turkish buddy back home said Trump makes a lot of sense. Cenk proceeded to rip him a new one because "doesn't he see supporting Trump works against his interest?" completely not being able to separate the "competing" points of view. So I understand where you're coming from.

Trump probably is a loon. But unfortunately in our first world democratic systems its turned into "best of a bad lot" and compared to Obama, Hitlery and "that lot" Trump is a one heckuva lot better. I guess it's a good thing we all get to enjoy the show from a foreign country.

Too close for comfort though ;)

I don't know what major decisions he can make without the OK of senators and congressmen but having a perceived buffoon at the helm makes the USA an automatic target for every con game going. I can't imagine trying to seriously negotiate across a table when the other person has a hamster sitting on his head.

Someone just sent me a pic of Trump, hamster on head is right and now I can't stop giggling.

Adult colouring books and Donald Trump, both popular in 2016...

You're ill informed.

You've got that right. If they actually do elect Trump down there it's going to be a **** show of epic proportions, and by the very nature of the fact we share a border and large geographic land mass, we are coming along for at least some of the ride, like it or not.

I honestly think it risks turning into a North Korea / South Korea situation to some minor extent - We'll be the sane side trying to go about our lives, whereas the hothead vitriol spreader detached from reality (Trump) on the other side slowly runs his country into the ground all while his "people" revere him, too stupid or sheltered to see what's happening.

The difference is...NK pretends to be all full of nuclear goodies, whereas the USA actually is.

Good analogy with loonies and odd hairstyles!!!!

Trump gets elected

-Mass exodus of americans
-Mass deportation of illegal mexicans
-Mass deportation of muslim refugees
-2nd wave of exodus of Americans who didn't believe he'd truly do it

I see another collapse of their economy as:

-they'll lose their cheapest labour (illegals), the richer middle class et some of higher class that can afford to move (and use said cheap labour) will move away. Cost of living will increase which lower middle class won't be able to afford causing more bankrupcies and less consumption.

-deporting the Muslims will strengthen the feeling of xenophobia also alienating other ethnicities/groups creating more tensions. Probably will see a rise in ghettos and segregation again creating a rise in crime (especially hate crime).

Trump will deny that it's happening and won't face problems.

America will be great again. Like back in the 50s lol

Speaking of rides, I plan to get in as many of my US rides as possible before there is any chance of DT being elected. I worry about critical mass thinking with an egomaniac urging people on. Obama's original campaign led many unthinking people to believe that the streets were suddenly gong to be paved with gold. DT could be worse regarding the chest thumping masses.

Hamster Hat throws facts and figures around like they were laws under his control due to his lack of experience in politics. Lemmings believe him.

I fail to see what's wrong with number 2.

In terms of number 1 and 4, Americans are a lethargic bunch, just look at the apathy whilst under their current dictator.

Number 3, well maybe just stop importing them until they can vet them properly.

Standing by for the progressive "tolerant" rage that shall ensue.......;)

*insert progressive "tolerant" rage*

Some interesting reads about illegal immigration.

Basically, even if legally done, its mainly only if you whore yourself to an american that you can get citizenship lol

The president of the USA cannot really ram anything through without having both Congress and the Senate behind whatever it is that he is trying to do. Obama was not able to push much through in a positive direction (and what did get done, was watered down); Trump will not be able to push much of his absurdity through, either. Even if the USA elects a Republican Congress, I get the impression that most of Trump's own Republican party is not behind the policies that he advocates.

He will, however, be able to turn the US into a laughingstock of the rest of the world, and make a mess of international negotiations (be it trade, defense, refugees, or whatever). I can't see him making too many friends in the international community with some of the self-centered policies that he advocates.

Does the US government as a whole need a shake-up ... Yes. But not Trump's version of a shake-up.

I consider the alternatives to Trump - all of them - to be do-nothings.

Donald Trump = Rob Ford. Somehow we got through that.

I'm thinking the Trump White House with showgirls, dancing fountains, slot machines and a marquee sign with lights and words, lots of words.
