Racism against blacks in 'Murica

But, that's when I finally realized how others can feel in our own country. Ultimately going through that bs, I think it made be a better person.

Good on ya!

PS: Terrorist Muslims aren't a race....;)

Also, took an uber while here. Middle eastern male started honking and yelling at a black guy who was crossing the street. Ranted for 5 min about "niggers ruining America."

He probably got robbed by members of said group. :blackeye:

They are bad because they are in fact "illegal" immigrants. ;)

I think keeping terrorist out of any country is a good thing. Why don't you?

PS: Terrorist Muslims aren't a race....;)
Yes, they are illegal. His reasons for wanting to kick them out though are that they are 'bad' people (rapists, criminals, etc) with "some of them not being as bad". Now if thats not being a bigot... its like saying all newfies are drunks, all quebecers want to separate, etc etc... The only fact in his speech is that they are illegal. Deforming the rest of his statement removes any weight he might have in his argument about why we shouldn't have them here.
I basically find it highly hypocritical from him when they're probably part of the crews doing the "dirty work" for his big builds that he basis his "success" on.

And in terms of "terrorist muslims" thats not the problem, terrorists should be kicked/kept out, but the fact that he paints one whole religion/group with the same brush (muslim immigrants = terrorist) shows a problem...and racism isnt per say "race" based.
Racism consists of ideologies and practices that justify or cause or perpetuate unequal treatment of groups or individuals based on criteria of perceived racial or ethnical difference.
Im all for keeping the terrorists out, like anyone. But those statements of his just opens doors and feeds the unjustified hate shitstorm that's already in full force

They are all in fact criminals because their immigration was illegal in the first place.

And for sure "some" of them are rapists and all of the other "terrible" things Trump called them. The long and the short of it is they all should be kept out and if they want to immigrate they should follow the immigration laws of the fine country they are attempting to immigrate into so regardless of how Trump says it, or what he sprinkles it with, he is right.

The very definition of "racism" is race based, and blurring the lines to broad brush other "sins" is a common tactic the progressives use to further their cause using shock value word to discredit the messenger. So lets use the correct terms like bigotry if when describing what people say about religion.... ;)

So then it would make sense to keep non-citizens out from high risk countries until we/they can figure out how to properly vet them to ensure they aren't terrorist correct?

...

Isn't this statement pretty judgmental? :p

You are making a generalization - not clear about whom - but a generalization nonetheless... and that's how racism starts... isn't it?

Did you say that ALL mexicans working construction, building real estate, are criminals? Because many of them are legal, even USA citizens, but still work in that industry. As of 2013, approximately 11.6 million Mexican immigrants resided in the United States. In addition to them, you have many other millions of mexicans-americans who were born int he USA (citizens). Who is there legally and who isn't? Source: http://www.migrationpolicy.org/article/mexican-immigrants-united-states

Or, did you try to say that ALL mexicans who entered illegally in the first place, are criminals no matter what? Many who entered illegal eventually become legal residents, get jobs, pay taxes, live normally, and never break the law. Do they remain criminals forever?

People born in Mexico + mexican-americans = around 35 to 40 million mexicans in the USA. It sounds like you are painting them with the same brush. Isn't that how racism starts? :p

Wow. Does any one believe in borders any more? Why do borders exist? If an American walks across into Mexico or Canada without due process he is by definition a criminal. It's pretty black and white and cut and dried. Again, wow. But if a "minority" comes in then it's oh wow bigotry or racism to point that out. And "minority" what a swell word, there seem to be an awful lot of "minorities" around the world. lol

Pretty black and white? In a conversation about race, is that a freudian slip?

Borders are there to keep the riffraff out. But in practice is not that easy. I guess you haven't heard of the 50 shades of gray.

No it's not a Freudian slip but cut and dry is.

:p

Look, all I'm saying is that is more complicated. You said that if an American moves into "Canada without due process he is by definition a criminal".

For the sake of discussion, I agree 100% with you. Yes, I do agree - He broke immigration law, and probably because he was inadmissible in the first place. So, sure, I agree with you, I'm on your side, he is a criminal. But... do you call every other single American you meet a "criminal"?

The moment that you take that label ("criminal") from one person, and apply it *without reasoning or questioning* to the other 300 million Americans, then I'm going to disagree with you...

Of course not but neither is Donald Trump calling all Muslims or Mexicans criminals. The opposite actually if I'm reading his lips correctly. It would appear you're the one making the sweeping generalizations today.

Bingo.

Trump was talking specifically about illegal immigrants who are not citizens of the US.

Only time I really shake my head is when someone dresses like they are in a gang, acts like they are in a gang, threatens like they are in a gang, then starts screaming 'racial profiling' as they are getting hauled away. Same can be said for some of the 'black lives matter' movement, where I've heard some go on about racism like it only affects people of that colour. If anyone brings up what about profiling against Indian, Asian, etc the message clearly comes out that 'black lives matter more'. Until things matter equally, racism will continue to exist.

Was he? When was that? Did he specifically say illegal immigrants? Here are a couple of quotes, word by word.

He keeps saying the Mexican Government intentionally sends criminals to the USA...

Are you looking for hate speech under every rock? Obviously those quotes were taken from a frenzied debate and I don't see anything very wrong with them. Trump is not a retard even if he sounds a little bit like that here. The Mexicans "sending" people? These people should be vetted by the host country, not sent by a foreign government. NAFTA notwithstanding.

Just two things before the chat continue in the wrong direction.

1.) I don't want you, or anyone, to feel like they have to be 'defending' Trump. Honestly, I don't. Even if people agree with him, that's really their own decision.

2.) I'm not offended by what Trump has said. I am concerned - not offended. Ultimately, he has the right to express his opinion, and the obligation to live on with the consequences of his actions.

That being said, all what he says is about 80% made up, and the rest is inaccurate. I cannot expect anyone to successfully argue that Trump is right.

maybe so, 'cept, ain't just one honki here pi****ng in the wing, folks voting tells the tale,

with that, fun & games are over, like usual then, reality checks & bottom lines kick in

This is the bit that gets me every time. As an outsider to politics, especially US politics, whenever I turn my attention to an ongoing race the first thing that pops up is the smearing, discrediting and vilification of an opponent. Looking closer I expect to find a raving lunatic monster but am always disappointed. Should you be concerned about Trump? If he's like any other politician then I guess you should, but from what he is saying I only see that he wants to make America great again. He gives many reasons why it's not under the present regime and going back 40-50 years. These are the people you support I would assume. Funny thing is, the usual mantra dictates President of USA is leader of the free world. What a crock. The President isn't even the leader of his own country. Trump is different in that he is not owned. That's what we're led to believe anyway. And Hilary is a big fat pendulum swinging lier, as I am given to understand.
