I have a buddy who has over $50 grand tied up in bicycles and cycling stuff.
So be it.
Our society has become judgemental about people's homes, cars, and investments as a sign of affluence....but have lost sight of more important things like happiness, satisfaction, family etc.
You never hear anyone speaking highly of someone who is broke...... "Oh look, there's Angie......sure she doesn't own a car and has to rent a tiny apartment, but she has the best relationship with her siblings, volunteers at the soup kitchen, and sings in the church choir. She always has a huge smile and she must be very happy in her life"..........nope...doesn't happen.
Society uses money as a proxy money to happiness. I think we're all guilty of it on some level. I know I am at times.
