Charlie is definitely not going to lead that charge. Sadly, this will be like many businesses where the peons put in their time and eventually get promoted to the gravy train. Once they are on top any ideas about changing the system evaporate as they feel they have put in their time and now it's their turn to suck at the tete.

Charles may well lead it. He’s actually a bit different and some of the rest of the family are already embracing a different way of life (Meghan /Harry ). Plus there’s the whole Andrew thing and no one sees Edward these days either. Add to that the economic situation in the UK and a lot less people are going to put up with supposedly having to revere a fabulously rich family.

A friend's anti everything son says the real queen died years ago and the position covered by a look-a-like until the appropriate people were in power to somehow take over control.

So does this leave the Queen of Canada Romana Didulo in limbo? She can't declare herself King of Canada, now. Maybe Them/Their of Canada could work, in a pinch?

Didulo has been raising money, and she now has her own army 30 strong and an RV. I heard she's planning to challenge King Charles to a duel in Peterborough.

Which Peterborough? Does she have a passport to go to the other one? Will Chuck want to drive up there? It's a 300km round trip from Buckingham to off her. That's a good part of a day wasted. Then again, he's king now. Can't he just pull a Hank 8? So many questions.
Apparently, there is some possibility that this coming Monday is going to be a statutory holiday. While I can go into a long winded pro/con argument to this, let me just say that in my specific case, it'd be cool to have a day off (and not watch the funeral)

If govt wants a stat, they should pick up the payroll tab for the country for the day. If a business wants to give their employees the day off with pay that should be left to decide for themselves.

My argument remains the same. Quit it with the damned virtue signalling. Put your money where your mouth is and show people what meaningless gestures like this actually cost canadians. Even if it is federally regulated only, the cost to the country is probably on the order of an hours wages for every person in the country. Biggest political donation ever.
