Police seek motorcyclist who fled from Lawrence Avenue crash

I guess you are an expert at cut and paste but not at reading.

You are welcome to start the qualifications fight with me though.

i love how everyone on this forum is an expert at everything, not only are you "immune to bullets" but you enforce the law and discovered cold fusion.

JUST so you know
Nothing about single or double lines. Section 150 deals with passing on the right. As long as you haven't broken one of the below rules, and you pass in safety, you're okay to pass on a single OR double yellow line.

Passing
vehicle going in same direction

(8 ) No person in charge of a vehicle shall pass or attempt to pass another vehicle going in the same direction on a highway unless the roadway,

(a) in front of and to the left of the vehicle to be passed is safely free from approaching traffic; and

(b) to the left of the vehicle passing or attempting to pass is safely free from overtaking traffic.

And section 149...

Quote:
Driving to left of centre prohibited under certain conditions - 149.

(1) No vehicle shall be driven or operated to the left of the centre of a roadway designed for one or more lines of traffic in each direction,

(a) when approaching the crest of a grade or upon a curve in the roadway or within 30 metres of a bridge, viaduct or tunnel where the driver’s view is obstructed within that distance so as to create a potential hazard in the event another vehicle might approach from the opposite direction; or

(b) when approaching within 30 metres of a level railway crossing.

Exception

(2) Subsection (1) does not [COLOR=#009900 !important]apply
,

(a) on a highway divided into clearly marked lanes where there are more such lanes for traffic in one direction than in the other direction;

(b) to a road service vehicle where precautions are taken to eliminate the hazard; or

(c) on a highway while it is designated for the use of one-way traffic.

sorry! i didnt realize you had 2000+ gtam posts, my level of knowledge will never compare to yours. i will step back and allow you to continue your cyber knee dragging

Yep and for the last decade my rate has been under $100/month... peanuts.

The guy crashed because he hit his buddies downed bike. This is my problem..... how?

Wow this guy and his comments. Forgot how many douchbags lurk these forums. I'm out

Just like ninjas. Blending in with their surroundings, then they strike when you least expect it.
True story.

move eastbound in the westbound lanes in order to pounce on unsuspecting turning vehicles in intersections....

i for one can say that i dont think i have EVER looked over my shoulder from a designated turning lane to see if someone was coming up form behind me in the oncoming traffic lane, i generally look forward into the oncoming traffic lane, and when the gap is there, i'll go...

I dont get some idiots on this website saying i would rat on the guy? First, it wasnt their fault and if he stayed he wouldve gotten all the ticketa as his buddy too, why would you stay?? Even if i knew all the info on the guy and he wasnt my friend i wouldnt tell the cops. I go crazy sometimes on my bike too, so do most of uus, thats why i got my bike, but theres all these wussies with bikes that just like to have best things in life to show off to people so they're cool and are mad that they dont have enough balls to do a wheelie or other things so they bash on the guys that can. I met bunch of guys like this on Timmies and bike meets, these guys are simply the most boring people to hang around with and have lack of adreneline rush. Props to bunch of riders that know how to have fun that ive met with and to this day i ride with them.
Guys, dont get me wrong here, im not this squid that go ape ***** once i get on my bike. But i do speed and do stupid things sometimes where if i was to went down, the news would read something like what OP posted. Would i run away, yes! I havent killed anyone, i dont care about the rest!

Yea, if my buddy hits a car, and I clip him and go down.. as long as everyone is okay I would run. Buddy wouldnt even rat on me because if it were my fault I'd obviously get even with him later on..without the ramifications of tickets/insurance/at fault accident on record etc. Me hitting a friend is the ONLY situation that I'd GTFO ASAP before the cops came. The biker who ran didnt hit the car in this incident so who cares?

It's about controlling your adreneline, knowing when and where (e.g. take it to the track). If you have to race through oncomming traffic to get your rush, then it's time to find something new to do.

This isn't about the one biker that went down "ratting" on the other biker, he's just as much of an idiot, obviously he won't say anything. This is about third parties providing info. Frankly, if I witnessed you riding like a reckless idiot in oncomming traffic, I'd have no problem providing as much info as I could to the cops.

I want idiots like that off the road. The biker that hit the car could have gone flying through the window and killed the driver. His bike could have gone flying on and hit another vehicle or a pedestrian. It could have been my brother, sister, mother, father in that car. One of my little cousins could have been crossing the road when it happened and got hit.

Now one of those idiots got away and will have a second chance at killing someone.

I havent killed anyone, i dont care about the rest!

Good to know! I'll keep that same mentality in mind if ever I have to rat you out.

To be clear, this isn't about speeding, or popping a wheelie every once in a while. This is about lack of control and showing complete disregard for the safety of others around you.

Most of us? Please speak for yourself. Most people are actually responsible, whatever you may think.

That's exactly your problem. That you don't care about safety of other people around you.

Yup. Some people won't care until they hit some 10 year old girl walking home from school, and even then, some won't care.

Whatever happened to people taking responsibility for themselves and their actions?

We have a youth core raised on self-entitlement and a society that blames everyone else for their wrong doing... Deadly combination.

Truer words have never been spoken.

As an aside, some of the responses in this thread have been whittling down my IQ points as I can almost see the poster sitting at their computer in their Affliction/Ed Hardy t-shirts, typing this drivel out and relishing at their "Damn I'm a badass" mentality as a form of mental masturbation.

Fascinating.

I don't think these young people are over-priveleged, at least not once they are in the workforce. Reality is pretty harsh and it's harsher now than it's been in about 50 years. But go on thinking that they have an easier life than you ever did, if that makes you feel better.

I'd be one of these "boring" guys to you if somehow we ever met at a Tim's... Simply because I'm responsible and give a damn about the people around me. And I'm sure I don't seem like the "adrenaline" type, but come to the track and try to hang with me and I guarantee you won't have the balls to do what me and 30 other crazy idiots think is a fun time.
Sure, I don't wheelie on the street, I don't split cars or put myself at more risk than what is needed. Sure, I'll accelerate hard and speed a bit, and I might even find a fun ramp or twisty road to have a good time on, but the road isn't the place to "go crazy".

If I caused some accident on the road where someone was injured, I'd MAN UP and stick around to look after the person... Especially if it was my friend.
